I was trying not cry so acted happy and cheery as i told my priest I was supposed to be perfect growing up. trying to explain how thankful I am that he reigns me in from trying too hard. He told me it was my ego talking. Just crushed me

​@@laurac5451 He is human too. You are allowed to make mistakes. He is too. See it like that. And next time don't try to hide your true feelings. He responded to your fakeness. You were inauthentic then upset about the reaction to your inauthenticity. It's confession. The one place you can be straight with yourself.
