Let us be humble and respectful towards those such as Fr. Seraphim whose Memory is Eternal. Our own living id or ego shall become ashes to ashes one day uneventfully. Our purpose is to be repentant more so than critical and judgemental. Amen.

It would be really interesting to hear what Bishop Gerasim thinks are a few things modern readers get wrong or misunderstand about Fr. Seraphim. I’ve heard there’s a notable tone shift between his earlier writings and later ones.

@@feeble_stirrings if anyone could find any proof of this it would be much appreciative as after reading many of his books it actually seems that his works have been censored and edited to fit the modernist phronema.

Hey I had the pleasure of meeting Bishop Gerasim. I took a video and spoke with him about certain things so if you want to know about things like the supposed toll gates or other things hopefully I can revise whats in the video and tell you about it!

Maybe talking about his accent. When he says "written" he pronounces the T like a british accent and Father Seraphim had a sort of trans atlantic accent (if thats the proper name for it)@@SeraphimWebster

@@IN-pr3lw yes he definitely had a trans Atlantic accent, which sadly doesn’t really exist anymore today. He would’ve been amazing as an announcer back in his days.
