Another thing I like about Oryx chassis systems, they are not afraid to give out the torque spec on action screws. A lot of rifle companies do not have that info and I had to rely general search questions to get to a consensus of 45 in lbs. Oryx will tell you up front, go to 60, if you can. Which is a 1/4 turn past comfortable. I have the torque tool, so, nice to set the action and not worry. I have issues with at least one plastic stock that has a gap in the rear action screw guide and it uses the removable mag well as a spacer and that cracks easily. And then you know you will have movement with the rear of the action, no bueno. So, bravo to Oryx for solving the "bedding" problem. The whole chassis is the bed.

I'm wondering if this new Oryx field stock has Howa mini action inlet option, the current Oryx chassis is a little bit too heavy for the mini action hunting rifle.

I'm looking forward to these hitting the market. I need to see the Oryx Field Stock inlet for Ruger American (SA; LA & Rimfire), CVA Cascade (SA & LA) and Howa Mini Action. I'm waiting for those Howa Mini Action 6.5 Grendel and/or 7.62x39 Mamba Magazines as well.

Oh you Crafty Canadians! I just swooped up a Remington 783 in .243 for a future short action hunting oriented build and was torn between getting another ORYX Chassis or an XRS for it... Now this!? It looks like it's going to be lighter and cheaper (not that anything is anymore with this damned inflation!).. I know it's still very early, but any more info on possible inlets, weight, and of course how many Loonies? Thank you for constantly innovating and not just treading water, the TMBR's are freakin' rad as well :)

Awesome stuff guys. The clamping on the cheek riser. Is it clamping on plastic or is it aluminum?

I'm going to need some specs on that field stock, seems like it will fit a couple builds im considering perfectly. Will ultimately come down to that minimum LOP so the sooner we can get specs, pricing and eta on release date it would be great.

There are no plans for a long action Field stock at this time, but we already have our Sportsman chassis for the Savage long action available here: oryxchassis.com/oryx-precision-rifle-chassis/

Our chassis already comes with a grip installed.

Still only available for the Rem 700. If people own a 700 they will get a LSS, XRS or even a better chassis. In my opinion, these stocks should be for us peasants who can't afford a fancy custom 700 or something. Why these aren't out with inlets for all the cheaper rifles is beyond me. If you get these out for Savage axis, TC compass, Mossberg, CVA cascade etc they will likely sell well.

We have just released the Ruger American SA inlet. Many more will be following over the next couple of months. Which will include, Howa 1500 SA, Savage SA, Tikka T3 SA, and many more.

@@MDTTAC I agree with this guy, I doubt MDT will have any other inlets out with in the next year or 2. Plus MDT only has chassis for the same few rifles. Savage Axis, TC, CVA Cascade and all the other low cost rifles would be nice. The firearms world is expensive, I cant afford a fancy Tikka. Id love to put my CVA Cascade in something like this though. I see this guys frustration, Finally an MDT product I can afford and its just for 700's and will never come out for affordable rifles. MDT is just for the rich.
