I'm 55, kicking butt, landscape contractor, here's what I do: Only truly raw dairy, mostly cooked meat, (all pork should be cured with celery powder(e.g. creminelli sausages) or vinegar soaked for 24hours), eggs(lightly cooked or raw yolks), quality beer(non pasteurized is by far best, preferably on the low alc. side, rarely more), wine, liquor (All with appropriate non-excessive consumption, only when desired, only for sober consumption, not to excess), salt, water, some fruits and veggies which aren't 'too sweet'(with rare exception). Eat to perform. Don't overeat. And, no starches. Seriously. Exceptions are in famine or severe financial hardship.
@ec3064
@ec3064 Жыл бұрын
Hello. Why cure the pork with celery salt or soak in vinegar? Thank you for your help!
@bonsummers2657
@bonsummers2657 Жыл бұрын
It makes the pork so that the pork 'proteins or whateve' don't adversely affect our blood, at least the negative effect is greatly reduced.@@ec3064 See the study provided on Weston Price Organization. I speak from results experience also. Fresh uncured/non-vinegar-soaked pork, which is normally cooked for safety and eating quality of course, causes the blood to have more clumping, rather than free flowing of the blood molecules. That most affects tiny veins,… which btw is a cause of ED, if one consumes fresh pork. Other ED causes are starches (if not sprouted and fermented, then cooked), pasteurized/homogenized dairy (either/both). I learn what to avoid, by results. Excercise is important to do also.
@bonsummers2657
@bonsummers2657 Жыл бұрын
And again, celery powder with sea salt,…. are broad spectrum, which is a key difference in results with my body, apparently, per results, vs. isoated nitrates/nitrites and NaCl. @@ec3064

I have heard that when you mix things in a blender it turns veggies and fruits to sugar. I am not sure if that is correct but even weight watchers was pointing that out a few years ago. I do eat some organic blueberries every evening with heavy cream but I don't understand why anyone would put it in a blender. I'm naturally thin but tend to gain weight in my stomach so I am careful about that as 20 lbs. on your stomach is much worse than on your thighs.

I’m an 81 year old with osteoporosis just in this last year. My doctor took me off water pills for high blood pressure which was making my condition worse. I’m on once a week medication which helps a lot with pain and walking. This condition is no joke. I have to be more careful about potential falls during the cold weather, something I never worried about before. My wife has osteopenia after a bone scan was done two years ago and she worries the condition might have gotten worse. We include olive oil in our salads and use it when cooking. We also include flax meal in our breakfast cereals for the omegas. Do we need to take the olive oil straight three times a day ? What about the fat content of the oil ?
@bigfoot9412
@bigfoot9412 Жыл бұрын
Get rid of your bread, cookies, and cake. All these refined carbs turn into fat and cause blood pressure, diabetes, and inflammation. Also, no more sugar. Instead, you can take Zero carb sweetner if you want something sweet, but not too much. Get rid of all your cooking oils if they are not extra virgin olive oil, avacado oil, butter or coconut oil. You should also look into Vitamin E Tocotrienols (not tocopherols) supplement. You can get your Vitamin E from Germ Wheat oil. Also, doing strength exercises with an elastic band or weights, will help with bone density. Last, check out Dr. Eric Berg's channel. Good luck.

Women in particular are very underserved indeed when it comes to osteopenia and osteoporosis. 80% of patients with these conditions are women, mainly due to estrogen loss at menopause. We are not being informed about the fact that estrogen is a major regulator of bone metabolism in women. This has been known for decades. Women are not given a chance at prevention of bone loss if they are not aware of the facts. Women lose 20% or more (!) bone mass within 5 years around the time of menopause alone. Women should be given a choice whether they want to prevent major bone loss, as well as other risk factors due to estrogen loss, such as cardiovascular disease, dementia, type 2 diabetes, and more. Early timing of estrogen replacement is of the essence, hence the importance of education and giving women a choice. Women must “wake up”, learn the facts about menopause from evidence based sources and advocate for themselves to receive the care that they deserve. With all due respect - “3 tablespoons of olive oil or 5 prunes per day” are not going to reverse or make a dent in osteoporosis due to estrogen loss.

And, in my experience with allopathic doctors who treat symptoms and do not go to the root causes is not helpful, to say the least. They get, what, an ounce of education in their schooling , on nutrition and holistic ways to heal the body. To refer to our doctors doesn't make any sense. Why would people be looking at You tubes to find information about their health problems?

I take a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive oil with a pinch of Himalayan salt. Olive oil's oleic acid can regulate enzymes that favor weight loss and help with constipation, making it a powerful tool for weight management. Himalayan pink salt can improve overall health by creating an electrolyte balance, strengthening bones, lowering blood pressure, and improving circulation.(Health info online) I also take a D3 + K2 combination which helps in the development and maintenance of bone and teeth (info on bottle) Helps in the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus.

I admit I don't eat olive oil at all (except when cooking) but my husband, who eats a very careful diet, has at least 3 tbsp of olive oil a day, (he soaks his homemade whole wheat bread in it for breakfast--not my thing,) and he was diagnosed with osteoporosis in his spine after fracturing two vertebrae attempting to get out of the water on a slalom ski, at a very fit 61 years of age. :-( I hope there's hope for me; my situation is arguably worse than his, at least if height loss and constant back pain are indicators (also, my t score was significantly lower than his.) I could add olive oil but I already eat minimal sugar/processed food, have been doing weight bearing exercise consistently since high school (because I can eat more if I have muscle and walk/ run/burn extra calories) never smoked, drink minimally...I reduced my caffeine consumption from 2 cups to 1, but never was an all-day coffee drinker, don't drink pop, and yet, here I am. It would be easier if I could see really obvious things I could fix, like the people who quit drinking and lose 20 pounds. I am now working with a personal trainer who understands my issues (injured 4 times, now, during workouts--apparently there are some very benign things (like, running on a treadmill, or anything that involves twisting and speed, I can no longer do,) including my lack of understanding--if I'm not in active pain, I can do it, right? If the 75 year old next to me is lifting that much, surely I can, WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? So that's something. I can add some supplements/minerals, but I'm not feeling a miracle. 😞

Cindy, I’m in the boat with you. Exercised my entire adult life for multiple reasons - one being to prevent osteoporosis since my mom suffers from it. Now here I am at age 57 with a rod in my femur and 3 previous foot fractures - all of which were ‘spontaneous’. I, too, have the chronic back pain and have had to give up some workouts that I love. Like running, spin class, etc. I’m doing what the docs are telling me but seeing no results. It’s beyond frustrating.

I appreciate your videos, so thank you. However, I have a question. Why do you KZbinrs always say to talk to our doctors first? For olive oil? Seriously? The whole reason why we watch KZbin is because you know as well as we do that most doctors have almost no idea of how diet and exercise can enhance health. No idea. None. Mentioning this to my doctor would probably be met with me being accused of wasting his time. I imagine there must be some legal reason, and it is some kind of disclaimer.

If how have a really big salad of dark leafy greens, like 4 cups, 2 Tablespoons gets absorbed easily... then one in cooking easily.

@@jamlittlefield Do NOT cook with good quality, expensive EVOO! Cooking destroys the goodness in it. Other options besides green salads are mixing room temp EVOO with herbs and drizzling over steamed or raw veggies or use the oil/herb mix as a dipping sauce for bread. Pour it (room temp) over hot pasta with some herbs instead of using butter or tomato or cream based sauces. Mix with balsamic vinegar for cold pasta or potato salads, mix with rice vinegar and soy or teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds for a potsticker, Asian dumpling, egg roll etc. dipping sauce or pour it over fried rice. Use it instead of mayonnaise on sandwiches or replace half the mayo in egg, tuna or chicken salad with EVOO, put it in your smoothies or just drink a tablespoon straight 3x a day. The list is endless when you really think about it.

Sorry. According to Dr. Esselstyn's research and Dr Dean Ornish and Dr. John McDougall that much olive oil can hurt your arteries because it has saturated fat. There are other ways to reduce inflammation besides consuming that much olive oil. 3T per day as an enormous amount of calories and fat

Do you have suggestions on how to incorporate more e v o into your diet? For example I eat breakfast and pack a lunch and then eat dinner at home. What in the world would I eat besides eggs every morning with Olive oil question? Mark I cannot eat eggs every day. I can't take olive oil for lunch because i'm eating in my car basically as i'm driving. For dinner I can saute all of my vegetables in olive oil. I cannot just just drink it by itself. The taste to me is just awful. Suggestions?

I just take a spoonful 2-3 times a day. Easy to swallow and is actually better if it has not been heated.

My experience with olive oil is that you don't have real olive oil or at least not pure. I use Delyseen. (I think that's how you spell it.) Pure olive oil taste good.. Not bitter or nasty.

I haven’t check my bone density. Last x-ray doctor said slight osteopenia. But after I took ppi and antibiotics for h.pylori. It feels like my bone density dropped like mad. Weird cracking sounds each time I move. And my teeth are thinning. Can I ask anyone who suffer from osteoporosis or osteopenia have teeth issues as well? I spent alot on physical ailments so just want to check before I go for bone density scan. Thank you so much. I’m currently taking supplements but seems like it isn’t strong enough to counter.

Women especially needs the true information how to fix it. I don't want to sound to negative , but I don't like it, when doctors never tell the truth, especially in this region. I just like the facts or you might say Root Cause. I do exercise daily x 5 , for 2 days I will give my body a rest. In my region to make a long story short , people in this town, and I mean every citizens. Have access to exercise, 7 days a week and over 300+ indoors or outdoors "classes" , we have hobbies, etcc.
