Thank you for this information. Very helpful. I thought there was nothing I could do to help my spine straighten.

I didn't think I could straighten my spine either. I have 2 back compression fractures.

Thanks Ed, those are great exercises, did them right away👍. I’ve been loving your book, planning an AM exercise routine at home.

I took ballet for 40 years, then switched to strength training after my first back surgery. So I’m still a little in shock to have osteoporosis! (My endocrinologist says tall,thin, blonde to blame). But my ballet training still serves me well bc I constantly straighten my posture…when I’m cooking, standing in line, on the treadmill, etc). I will definitely be adding your stretch. I’m 71 and sure don’t want to be a hunched over little old lady!

@@franhar8292 no, my endocrinologist went over all my bloodwork in detail last week bc I asked about calcium, K2, and magnesium. She said all my levels are where they are supposed to be. I have been taking Prolia since 2017 when I broke my arm and leg (at the same time!). Since then I have reverted back to osteopenia. She also said I have to keep up my weight bearing exercise and strength training. I’ve had a personal trainer since 2009 once a week and try to get to the gym 3 other days/week. I know Prolia is controversial in some circles, but it has worked wonders for me. My late mother broke both hips leaning over to load the dishwasher…I do not want to go down that road! Good luck with your journey 💕

Sure needed this tonight. 9 compression fractures been healing 2 years=was severe=Prolia helping, but side effects terrible toward the end of that 6 months, but hanging in there and use weight bearing and other. Can finally say start waking die to snow /ice….thank you…

Hello Ed, just found your video. I had adrenal cancer many years ago and it messed with my bones. I’m on Prolia for about 2 years now. I fell a few times and had several compression fractures. I have really bad Kyphosis ( don’t know the percentage, but i lost like 3 1/2 inch in my hight. My daughter bought me the same foam roller. The roller feels kinda hard and I’m afraid to lay my back on it. Could my bones in my back break from that? Btw, your new book looks very interesting. I will be 63 in 3 weeks. Unfortunately i’m still working and constantly in a hunched position which does not help.

@@martinadirusso9478 Hello Martin, I would watch this video and try something not as hard as a foam roller. Just laying flat on the floor may be enough to start ( I talk about that in this video). Take a look and let me know what you think kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJXUc3WYqLiLoJYsi=VruCaAu0fGwgmOLV. Good luck!

I have 6 compression fractures from what I have been through over the past 2 years. I'm a cancer survivor. Not a lazy person at all. Anyway over the past year I've developed severe osteoporosis. If my compression fractures have healed, can I still do these exercises? I cannot lay flat on my back.
@teresabrush34193 күн бұрын
Can I lay on my bed doing this or on the floor?
@FrontRowwithEd3 күн бұрын
Great question, I would prefer that you do it on the floor, but if that is too much of an issue, then yes you can at least get some of the benefit from the bed.

I walk with my cane. It forces me to hold in my stomach muscles and stand straight up. I am so short I stand as tall as I can! 4' 7-1/2" tall not short😂😅

I had cancer of the esophagus. They removed it after chemo and radiation. I can not sleep flat on my back anymore.

My doctor said if they healed that way he can't do anything but refer me to pain management and physical therapy.
