As for slider shapes, I do like the idea of the occasional fancy shape. If you look at the original Elite Beat Agents songs, there was a pair of sliders shaped like lips in the song La La, and You're The Inspiration finishes with a big star. However, I consider these as showstoppers, usually for the last epic chorus, like the cherry on top of a Kiai time sundae.

A small tip with the anchors, this works for me, if you extend the slider out to at least one tick, then move it back, you can place an anchor even if you cant see the slider.

2:00 idk if its a newly added feature or not but now for whatever reason if you drag the slider into existence then add the anchor at the very beginning you can make stuff that looks snapped from 1/8 sliders

yes, you can actually make anchors before a slider appears; you have to make the slider visible, then go back. Idk why, but it works.

The 5° angle is because hands dislike moving straight left-right or up-down. Going at a slight angle is slightly more comfortable for play. Two years late, but it deserves note.

The +-5 degree thing angers me more than I think it should. It's like the crowning exemplar on how much I feel learning to map is equivalent to "learning a bunch of random bags of tricks." If it weren't for these videos, it would have probably taken me years to get up to ranked status. I mean...I've been mapping for over a year now, and I'm still not at ranked status, but it would have just taken me that much longer.

I think you're talking about a buzz slider. Make a shorter slider (i.e. 1/8 or 1/12 - increase the beat divisor if you have to) and drag its tail forward in the timeline to create several repeats.

How to create another slider after the first slider? :o I'm just editing some maps that actually have nonsense timing, and how to save the map and publish it to Osu. :/ I actually like perfectly timed beats but other forgetting how beats are, like Music Rhythm thing. :/ Also I made a map just now and I think the map that I thought had been save but I think that's a scam. :/ I set the speed to 500 bgm something and other at 10k and 16 beats something, its easier for me in that way. XD

Yeah that works as well. For those few 1/4 sliders you need it's easier to do the method you described rather than wasting time switching to a 1/8 beat snap.
