The "marry you when you are 16" bit is being misinterpreted here: he was not saying that because he genuinely had any interest, but rather because he knew she was dying and that he would never have to follow through on it, it was an attempt to offer a dying child acceptance of her crush without actually doing anything, but she is too aware and calls him mean because she understands that she won't live to that age and it is sophistry. Rather than showing him in a bad light, it's meant to show how hard it is for terminal children.

Disclaimer, I’m not licensed in California so I will be basing this answer off of statutory interpretation of Missouri law, because that is where I live (unfortunately). Anyway, robbery in the first degree is defined as a person forcibly stealing property and in the course thereof he or she, or another participant in the offense: (1) causes serious physical injury to any person; (2) is armed with a deadly weapon; or (3) uses or threatens the immediate use of a dangerous instrument against any person; or (4) displays or threatens the use of what appears to be a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument; or (5) steals any controlled substance from a pharmacy. In the scenario posed, using your hand to give the appearance of a “deadly weapon or dangerous instrument” would arguably constitute robbery in the first degree because the threat of that weapon, even if it wasn’t present, would make it so the person giving the money would not be consenting to the taking of the property. This then would be a class A felony in my state, which would be punishable by a term of imprisonment not less than 10 years and not to exceed 30 years, or life imprisonment. Hope that was helpful to this completely hypothetical scenario that 100% will not happen because both of you are so much smarter than that! Love the pod!

I appreciate you guys giving Oshi no Ko a chance even though it's an uncomfortable sit through in the first hour for you guys. It does make me sad to think some people genuinely think that the beginning of Oshi no Ko is nothing but fan service, because if you've read this author's work he's contributed a lot more to the conversation around feminism and female objectivity through his mangas than most people that have that opinion about him. It's a case of not seeing the forest for the trees because this is a work that criticizes female objectivism through media, but seen through the eyes of someone that's completely entrapped in those media inspired fetishes (at least that part of the manga is). And you guys definitely nailed it on realizing that after your watch.

Demon Slayer theory. I could see the Hashira Training Arc being turned into a "special" in the fall/Winter. Couple episodes for that before we get a 24 episode Infinity Castle arc that expands upon a couple of the fights(mainly I want the Zenitsu fight at the start, not spoiling the opponent, and the ending).

Imma put my two cents with the whole what constitutes a light novel. It has nothing to do with it being short or having pictures, it has more to do with the target age (usually being from young teens to young adults), the “type” of stories (usually having a lot of commonalities with manga stories) and the publishing schedules (light novels are more commonly serialized and publish a new volume each 3-4 months).

Tengen was still getting affected by Gyutaros poison but he was able to slow down his heart beat, which slow the poison from spreading as fast. If Tengen didn't slow his heart beat then he could of awaken his slayer mark .

Back on a rewatch 2 months later and I still have to say Tanjiro has so much plot armor like the difference between him and other mcs is he is 10x weaker if not more than so many opponents like Daki, Gyutaro, Rui, Akaza, and the upper moon he fights in SSV. The issue is he against these powers so much stronger than him and he wins or survives because of some bs like he learns a breathing style different to his own just because somebody explained how it feels to them or he has a Hashira who didnt show up on time to save the other dozens who are dead but show up at the second Tanjiro will die or his sister will be the chosen demon to pretty much do anything. At least Luffy or Naruto use the powers we know they have differently and usually aren't just saved last second of life they might just power up but the reason they power up is better explained

Big disagree on Tanjiro not having plot armor. There are an ungodly amount of times where he reasonably should have lost or died and just skirts by because he got saved last second or unlocked some hidden potential. Personally, I think the animanga just went way too fast. I love Deku vs Gentle because it showed Deku defeating a formidable villain on his own without hurting himself and he had multiple instances of quick thinking and creativity in the fight. I think Tanjiro was robbed of a good opportunity to do that when Muzan fodderized the lower ranks.

Black Clover, JJK, MHA, DS(Already), Hells Paradise, Tokyo Revengers, Attack on Titan, Dr Stone all done or almost done in manga and are the main anime in the scene currently. Blue Lock, Vinland Saga, and not many others come to mind. I know JJK has a few years of anime and Hells Paradise will be another few seasons and Black Clover has a lot of anime that needs to be made but like there isn't a lot left and idk what will take over because I think One Piece will go back to dominating the Manga scene since all the big ones are going away. Also, forgot Chainsaw Man but also the manga and how it split is weird but that'll dominate, and this is my theory as to why Mappa is taking so long to push One Punch Man because its other big series are completed or nearly completed manga so like I think its focusing its other series first since One Punch is gonna be around another decade. Solo Leveling is another good shout but idk
