Otis Series 2 Traction Elevators at Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, AR.

Video Recorded on July 3, 2021: This is the beautiful, old historic Arlington Hotel! It was originally built and opened in 1875, but all the elevators were installed 49 years later, such as these main elevators seen in this video. Anyway, these elevators were quite busy when I filmed here despite that they were modernized, BUT don't get disappointed please! The next set of elevators you'll see in this beautiful, old historic building is a BIG SURPRISE!!!! :D Anyway, not much to say about these main elevators although the mod isn't bad either. I have also gotten a great view of the beautiful lobby as well! :D Installed in 1924, replaced in 1969, and modernized in sometimes in the late 2000's.

Watched The Proper People's exploration video of this hotel, apart from these elevators they also went into the machine room in the attic which still houses the original machinery of the antique spa elevator.

There is a hotel in Texas that was built by the same firm and same plan that opened in 1929. It has been abandoned but is being restored currently. It’s called The Baker in Mineral Wells.

Jim I don't know if you filmed the manual Otis elevator at the hotel. That elevator is only used from 8:00 to 5:00. Also all the floors have that floor indicator outside but some of them work depending on what floor you're on. Before these were modernized with Series 2, these had square touch sensitive buttons.

I’m guessing it was originally manually controlled, then replaced by black button or lexan, and then finally again by series 2 in early 2000s
