I really loved this video. So natural and so easily delivered. I’m in the middle of a PhD on the subject of ‘human rewilding’ … a philosophical story about human movement in nature. Your story inspired me because one of the things I would like to do is live through the seasons during the writing process. Hey @denforourcubs! Many of us here are incredibly moved by what you and your family have created and would love to do something similar. I noticed you’ve replied to a few people here but have not mentioned the brand of tent you used. I scrolled through all the comments, and yikes, a couple were not very supportive/ positive. But most of us love what you envisioned and created for your family. Would you please share with us the tent company you used? I’m starting to look into a custom tent, but am worried I’ll get in over my head with the quotes. Pleased we would love your advice. Best wishes from Nashville.

I come from the south with long, hot and humid summers, and I wonder about these structures in the heat. Even having lived up north, heating feels much easier to manage than cooling. Anyone got tips for this? I guess you could even put in a minisplit if you wanted to and had the power, but even if so, insulation may still be an issue.

Very inspirational. Congrats on all the hard work. I totally understand the $1600 a month rent as CA is similar to NYC. Getting older, I’ve been leaning towards doing something similar...Cost effective, small, happy, sustainable living. Was the cost of land a huge expense? Going from CA to NM, what do you do for work and do you notice you have more time for freedom, nature, & kids since you’re not so tied down to huge rent and expenses? Thanks!

I have two children too of about same age difference as yours but younger, and the idea of going to nature is growing inside me every day. I have just one question about the house if I may, do the walls are just plywood panels? or do you have some sort of exterior wall + insulation and the plywood is just the visible layer? Thanks man and take care that beautiful family you have, cheers.
