A system is only as good as the decisions made by the people running it.
Today's guest expert is highly concerned that the leaders currently in charge of our financial system are out of their depth & putting us on a course to crisis.
A crisis, that when it fully arrives, they will address with "solutions" that require even more centralized control by the people who caused the disaster in the first place.
So what risks exactly does he recommend we prepare for?
We'll find out now, as we're fortunate to be joined by Matthew Piepenburg, Commercial Director at Matterhorn Asset Management AG - GoldSwitzerland

At Wealthion, we show you how to protect and build your wealth by learning from the world’s top experts on finance and money. Each week we add new videos that provide you with access to the foremost specialists in investing, economics, the stock market, real estate and personal finance.
We offer exceptional interviews and explainer videos that dive deep into the trends driving today's markets, the economy, and your own net worth. We give you strategies for financial security, practical answers to questions like “how to grow my investments?”, and effective solutions for wealth building tailored to 'regular' investors just like you.
There’s no doubt that it's a very challenging time right now for the average investor. Above and beyond the recent economic impacts of COVID, the new era of record low interest rates, runaway US debt and US deficits, and trillions of dollars in monetary and fiscal stimulus stimulus has changed the rules of investing by dangerously distorting the Dow index, the S&P 500, and nearly all other asset prices. Can prices keep rising, or is there a painful reckoning ahead?
Let us help you prepare your portfolio just in case the future brings one or more of the following: inflation, deflation, a bull market, a bear market, a market correction, a stock market crash, a real estate bubble, a real estate crash, an economic boom, a recession, a depression, or another global financial crisis.
Put the wisdom from the money & markets experts we feature on Wealthion into action by scheduling a free consultation with Wealthion’s endorsed financial advisors, who will work with you to determine the right next steps for you to take in building your wealth.

This guy gets it. It's not if but when. Catch 22. Debt was the setup. Inflation can't be solved without lighting the debt bomb fuse, higher interest rates. It's a set up to bankrupt the sovereigns of the United States as ordained by British Royalty for some favors the colonists did back in hidden history. Something like that. Expansion of money and credit doesn't necessarily mean inflation, not if the money is pumped into BITCON, or stocks, or something that isn't counted in the inflation calculation. It depends. Money is loaned into creation. It depends on what those loans are buying. Commercial rents are declining. It's supply and demand. What's the agenda? They want to do away with Hydrocarbons. Global warming? Net zero carbon by 2030? Interest rates spiked, that makes everything cost more, that's inflation at first, maybe deflation later. OPEC cutting production, that's inflationary. What's the Agenda? A WON WORD ODOR? How to accomplish that? Crisis. "Princes of the Yen"? How to knock Japan off their high horse so China can catch up? Ever hear Justin Trudeau praise China? How many factories did he finance there? Read the book "Princes of the Yen" with the missing chapters. Everyone thinks the $USD is going to weaken, that interest rates are going lower. But how does one cause a global financial crisis? They've been ignoring inflation as they let interest rates fall over the past 20 years, despite the cost of health care, the cost of college, housing, all because of the agenda, the conspiracy to get everyone hooked on low cost debt. Like a drug dealer who gives you free samples until you're addicted. Corporations levered up to buy back stock, people refinanced their homes, debt levels exploded resulting in higher asset prices, Japan 1980's redux, "The Princes of the Yen". (Japan was too good, and the Yen too weak stifling China's progress, and who opened up China to western investment in the 1970's?, who owns Chinese manufacturing might?) The banksters printed money into creation to create debt junkies. Now you're hooked. Now they own you. Asset prices are only at this level because of the printed money keeps flowing. And if they raise rates they foreclose on all the debt. You can file bankruptcy but if there's no way to service the debt your assets go back to the banksters. So if you're the banksters, WHAT DO YOU EVENTUALLY WANT TO SEE HAPPEN? What's the end run? You want to see rates rise. Why? So you can gain control of productive assets, real assets through foreclosure. Printed money loaned into creation IN exchange for real assets. How do you get rates to rise? You stoke inflation, you disrupt the supply of food, (paying farmers to not grow, to destroy livestock), the supply of energy, (cancelled pipeline), the supply of housing, (unfettered immigration), the supply of China made goods, (locking Chinese in their buildings), and the supply of credit, (bank failures) and POOF!! There's your inflation and an excuse to raise rates. The markets may be pushing rates down but the banksters want to see rates rise. So what's the next supply line disruption? OPEC cutting production? A nuclear power plant accident? EV charging taking down the grid? WWIII? Another strain of Convid? A mysterious wave of 'Died Suddenly'? And now after the first bump in interest rates what happens? Defaults begin, unprinting of money, that causes a shortage of $USD, a strengthening of the $USD, people pull their money out of smaller banks and buy higher yielding treasuries, or they deposit money into larger banks, this causes a reduction in loan creation and increases rates, causing more defaults, causing more inflation as the cost of borrowing increases, causing a stronger $USD, a stronger $USD makes it difficult for foreign countries to repay dollar denominated loans which ultimately sets off a global financial crisis. When does it all come crashing down? Why? A WON WORD ODOR, A CALM YOU NIST REVO LOTION.

My grandfather working a blue collar job with high school diploma was able to buy a house in hills of southern CA, support family comfortably with regular vacations, and send my father to college with no debt long term all on the gold standard. Now two college degrees couldn’t hardly afford the same on our fiat system. The transfer of wealth and purchasing power has been massive yet few see it.

You forget to mention that the house today has had another properties carved off it, so what was possible on a single middling income is now, if at all, possible only with two ''good'' incomes, and the property is half to a third the footprint of the previously possible one. This implies real wages are, in effect, a quarter of what they were.

How is that anything to do with fiat? Your grandfather had fiat, so did his. It's about how they've programmed the population to believe that the owners and the bosses should be getting all the proceeds of the constantly growing output of the worker's labor.

He says there’s no answer to the debt yet there actually is……. As a nation we need to create a public private partnership for auto remanufacturing just like they do with Apple iPhones. Exporting all our 10-20 year old autos to places like India & building out their road & fuel infrastructures would bring $8 Trillion into govt coffers over a decade or two & as long as debt doesn’t increase we could potentially lower debt total to $18 Trillion

Adam, this is the most sober and cogent discussion on the worst case scenario I’ve seen - excellent interview. As a military planner, I look for the most likely and worst case scenarios and build branch plans for assumptions that prove incorrect (sure wish all in USG took this approach), but the scariest plan is the one where the most likely and worst case become the same. I hope we’re not there, but hope is not a plan (unless you’re Rumsfeld).

Many of us viewers already comprehend most of Matthews talking points. Perhaps Adam you should seek out speakers who currently reside in Venezuela who could share their survival strategies from a day to day perspective. Most of us have no control other than to chart a personal strategy; especially if there is no way out other than a debt resets or jubilees. The lessons from Russia as they revalued their ruble may also help inform us of what could be ahead. A great deal of personal discomfort will exist for all of us if Matthews concerns materialize. Love Matt's (and Egon's) talks. You both had great questions and answers re the state of our planet. Always enjoy hearing from people that are outside of the US (Allistar, the 2 Australian brothers, Matt and Egon) that have a slightly different viewpoint. Great job Adam!

I said the exact same thing in the video I had made about the feds balance sheet. You see in 2019 when they tried to taper the balance sheet and they had a taper tantrum and then right after that they had to reverse course on quantitative tightening and start quantitative easing again and just about that time all sudden covi d just blew up, that sure worked out perfectly for them. They definitely had their escape goat.

How about a video on how to protect and make decisions with 401`k’s. Very little options-no control, high hidden fees-short of quitting a job and rolling money out some of us are stuck.

Matt is absolutely brilliant and we share most of the same views. As I said multiple time at the end of last year the best performing asset classes of 2023, and well beyond are going to be Gold, BTC and high end real estate, anything with scarcity value…
