I love this song so much mostly because of the bit between Veronica and J.D in the beginning. It makes you feel like they both legitimately love each other and just how J.D cares so much for Veronica. While with them both together singing how they "Can start and finish wars" like their love is so strong that it can't be broken. But then going on to when J.D shoots Kurt I think it's really clever how instead of saying "They died because god said they must" he says "They'll die because WE say they must" just adds another layer to J.D in how he basically has a god complex in what he plans to do. But it also brings up how what he does, he does for Veronica, and that layer makes me love this song even more. It's a beautiful and complex song with such sweet and demonic themes and it really makes you think about the situation and even what has and will happen later on in the show.

I think it was a bit more complex than that... J.D. thought he 'loved' her, but didn't even understand the depths of love. If anything, he was just deludedly obsessed, and confused the obsession with love because of how strongly he felt the sensation. In the end, no matter how many disgusting things he did, he was just a confused neglected kid who was alone ALL THE TIME and had little to no moral structure in his household, who had a lot of pent-up anger because in his world, there was no other way to 'properly' cope than destruction, though that is obviously nonsense. Because of how isolated he was, and how his mom died at a time he needed her most (though that's not her fault), he didn't seek attachments to people. He didn't KNOW how to find warmth in a person... until Veronica came along, and he felt warmth for the first time in years. But, again, he had no knowledge of what to do with his feelings (that he refused to acknowledge as human) other than destroying everything around him. Eventually, it became less about Veronica, (who probably evolved from interesting person to high school sweetheart to coconspirator to possession to betrayer in his mind) and more about justifying himself, his feelings, and control. But ya, maybe I'm over thinking this :p

At the very end when Veronica is singing, it sounds like she’s singing “Our love is gone.” She’s realizing that JD is crazy and that their love is disappearing. On the flip side, JD is saying that “they died because we said they must,” as all these killings were for Veronica. Chandler died because she ruined Veronica’s reputation, and Kurt and Ram were trying to force V into a threesome. Even the blowing up of the school was for Veronica, and JD knows that, but Veronica is now realizing it. This song is so layered and detailed, and I love it.

Frenki - well, in the play (in my opinion) he really did love veronica, but didn't have a tight hold on his emotions, and well, killed people. Yes, it was wrong, but even in the first line you see that the whole reason he killed kurt and ram was because they made Veronica cry.

One of my favorite things about this song is the way JD says "we" when he is about to kill Kurt. That very thing shows that not only does he have a total God complex, it's not just him he has the God complex for, it's him and Veronica. It's such a chilling song. And after both of them are shot and Veronica is singing "Our love is God" with him it feels so real like she knows he's a danger and she can't say anything else.

No one thinks about the fact that if Kurt and Ram were actually gay, none of this would have happened anyways. 3. The date rape thing was bad, but they were really fucking drunk. In the scene before blue Heather M says that they drank an entire bottle of wine or something and later Ram mentions they had multiple beers after that. The actors slurred their speech during the scene and they were falling all over the place when they weren’t doing choreography. It was awful but they were still not in their right minds.

I can't stand people criticizing that Veronica is the villain and she got away with whatever. If you watch the show, at the end, you can see that it's less of a warm embrace when they sing "our love is god" at the end, and more of him standing behind her threateningly and her struggling and shaking and freaking out but not disagreeing because she's seen what this psycho can do. It's a damagin, abusive relationship she's in.
