Our Plans to Start Drilling Wheat Hit a Snag

We got the wheat drill parts in, serviced, and ready to start drilling. Everything was going smoothly: hooked up the auger, got it running, attached it to the wheat seed truck, and off to the field we went. Little did we know, a catastrophe was waiting for us out there!

Thank you for sharing your daily life experiences of a farmer.. it brings back memories. 😅. Been there done that. But it always seems to work out in the end.. Drone footage is really cool.. Hope you will share more? It's oat drilling time there? It's hardly winter wheat drill time here in Michigan. Farmers are harvesting beans and just shelling corn.

we chopped corn silage in July and just finished cutting and baling our last crop of alfalfa hay.

That reminds me of why i bought a j&m seed tender. Lol didn't look like the upper auger was engaged with the lower auger. On the other hand i live in the extreme drought part of Oklahoma known as "green country" but it's brown. Zero moisture for drilling wheat.

Wow it's so different there then it is here. Corn silage is done here.. so is bean harvest and hay is pretty much done.. mostly corn shelling is going and winter wheat well be under way soon. About the 3rd week in October.
