My duramax truck starts in 2nd gear when not in tow haul mode. 7th is direct drive. It is always in the right gear, even when pulling a 14k pound trailer. 10 speed is king and I will bet it is really fun behind that hopped up gas engine. In the duramax with the banks derringer and pedal monster, it is amazing how hard it pulls and yet it does it so effortlessly and quietly.

@@sidsideways2828 the more ratio you have the more frictional losses you have. Trust me. I know this from my own 10 speed. You can't dyno a lot of them in 7th because of the limiter and have to dyno in 6th. Remove the limiter just in itself and re test in 7th. It WILL dyno higher.
