Colleen, this is the second video I watched today from Portland, Oregon. I remember that back in the 1970's, the Bisquick package would show these wonderful Impossible Pie recipes. I made several, and they were very, very good. In later years, I could not find these recipes on the Bisquick box, and sadly, I could not find the ones I cut from the Bisquick box. Thank you so much for sharing I noticed that the Kroeger stores here are not selling the Bisqick brand, but instead, their own Kroeger brand. Thank you so much for uncovering this recipe for most likely, all of us!!

Oh boy, I saved this video long before you were done! Up until the other day I had everything to make it, now I used my ground beef in American Chop Suey (or Goulash, as we always called it). That's so wonderful that you have those spoons so carefully carved by your dear father. I am using my mother's wooden spoons still, some go back to the 1940s. My dad used to carve also; he carved propellers. (He was a frustrated pilot and while he was in the Air Corps during WW2 -- Greatest Generation -- he was a top turret gunner, and never managed to achieve his dream I of being a pilot. I miss him so much. He was a GREAT cook and would have loved your channel.) I am watching from Connecticut.

Thank you Colleen your casserole looks both easy to make and delicious to eat and I love that you have a salad on the plate with it , that’s what I woukd serve with it also ,,and thanks for always including the recipe for us !! Colleen it might help to cut down on the noise when frying the meat by putting a lid on it while it’s cooking ! It’s just a thought I had that might help , if you listen to the video when the meat is frying we can’t hear a thing you say until the meat stops frying , I’m not sure you’ve heard how loud it is or not ! I’m not complaining just heard you say others complain about the noise and thought a lid might help lesson the noise for you ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

We love the original Bisquick recipe where you cook 1 lb. hamburger with 1.5 cups chopped onions; drain. Blend 1.5 cups milk, 3/4 cup Bisquick, 3 eggs, 1/2 t. salt, 1/4 t. black pepper. Bake @ 400 degrees F in a greased 10" pie plate for 25 min. Top with 2 tomatoes (sliced) and 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. Bake until knife inserted in center comes clean, 5-8 minutes longer. We serve it with torn lettuce topped with mayo, plus dill pickles, mustard & ketchup on the side. It's simple & tastes like a burger. These recipes were developed for busy mothers who needed a quick inexpensive meal to serve their families.

Hi Colleen, I’ve made impossible pie before and I love it and I’ve also made a savoury impossible pie also and I really like that. My grandchildren would love this version and I will make it for them but what is the Bisquick mixture. I’m wondering if I can maybe buy it here in Australia or the equivalent as it’s completely different to the impossible pies I’ve made before and I’d love to give this a go cos I know my grandchildren will eat this just because of the name lol. Don’t change the way you cook because a couple of people are complaining Colleen because the way you cook is gone and I think the majority would say the love your recipes. I made your cinnamon rolls in the weekend and OMG!!! I’m hooked, they were so good. I gave a bag of them to my grandchildren who were here so I wouldn’t keep eating them. I don’t know how I did it but I got about 16 out of your recipe. I’ll be making them all the time now. My mouth id watering thinking about them lol.

This sounds like fun, but I do think about the salt. There's salt in the soup, the pickles, the ketchup, possibly the mustard, in the cheese and the biscuit mix. My husband is watching his blood pressure, so I wouldn't add any salt, and would brown chopped onion instead of adding the onion soup mix. This recipe sounds like fun, and I'm going to try it.
