Rahmans style of composing is very unique.. he just starts of with basic chords and rhythm and then goes on to build the track.. previously he used to have musicians play separately either by showing them what to play ..by playing it on the keyboard ot sometimes even hums the tunes for them to play.. he rarely did a full orchestra.. as he liked to make them improvise.. many of the artists and singers often said what they sang and what finally came out as the output were like chalk and cheese .. he sits on each piece for months till he is happy with each note.. on the score.. he sits picks up random scenes from a movie and plays the music on his keyboard which is then orchestrated.. he rarely composed using a screen and a full orchestra..but now he has his own orchestra from his conservatory and uses them for the score ..

From the above 3 you mentioned- I have only watched 1James bond movie- Casino Royale. That's all. India is big. Apart from a few metro cities, Hollywood movies are not even put up in movie halls. But, the Hollywood movies that are actually popular in India, that even the kids from small towns must have seen are Harry Potter, Titanic, Jurassic park and Spiderman.
@roguedravidan27463 жыл бұрын
Well, Hollywood movies have become popular only now. Until a few years ago the boomers, the silent gen and older Gen X population were the the Indian parents and they didn't bother with Hollywood movies. But what has made them popular now is the advent of high speed internet that brought the world closer here and a large millennial population that grew up with fascination about Hollywood movies but didn't have access to it or was restricted by their older gen parents, has now become wage earning population. After the boomer gen, millennials are the largest population and along with the Gen Z aka Zoomers born to the youngest Gen X and older millennials have become the largest patrons of Hollywood movies in India. So the oldest zoomers are the last segment of population to remember a time when Hollywood movies were not so popular here. But the youngest zoomers and the new Gen Alpha were born into a world already populated with high speed internet and a booming Hollywood market here.

I came here looking at ARR's name in the title.. but damn dude.. you know Pedro Eustache personally..? that's super cool.. I remember back in 2014 Yanni was touring around the world and he happened to do a concert in Chennai, India. Been a huge fan of that entire band. I was in my college back then and somehow managed to buy a ticket to the concert and went there. Unfortunately Pedro didn't tour with him that year. Couldn't see him play live. Hopefully sometime in future I get to see him play live.. Oh.. and I don't think Pedro Eustache has worked with AR Rahman before. But he has done a collab with Sivamani (ARR's childhood friend and his Percussionist) and Naveen Kumar (Flutist and ARR's long term collaborator, who also played the flute for Bombay Theme) along with several other top musicians from India for an album called "Iblue’s Chaturasra".. But I'd love to see both geniuses come together..

My dad grew up with Star Wars. I didn't. I just never cared, but he is a fanatic. Funnily, it was he who introduced me to iconic Hollywood sagas (some of them he forced me to sit through when I was five) like LOTR, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Star Wars as well as the James Bond series, Cleopatra, Ben Hur and other Western period pieces related to Greek mythology that have aged quite well. He's so busy he doesn't have the time to sit down and watch a movie anymore but I believe it was he who instilled in me the love for good cinema. Every now and then he recommends to me good Indian films that few Indians have heard of. It's nice how the tables have turned and now it is I who makes him watch films from my personal collection.
