Thank you!! We wanted to keep it as eco as possible and glad you noticed 😊☺️
@awesomenesschanel3 жыл бұрын
Just out of interest. If you were trying to be eco friendly while building this then why did you use foam insulation? Out of everything you could have done while building not using foam would have had the biggest effect on the carbon produced in the process. There are plenty of eco friendly alternatives than foam such as cork granules (for the floor) and plastic wool (made out of recycled plastic bottles for the walls and ceiling).

oh i have one more great advice, only because what ive been uncovering in my 18yr old transit...13yrs ago when i bought her & fitted her out, i hammerited the side loading door step a couple of coats, then few weeks later(once propa hardened) i made a wooden step & the part at the back cover, i only put 3 screw holes for each piece, then took off,i put oil/grease in holes then did a thick bead of waterproof silicone along the edges, underneath the wood ( if ya know what i mean) and screwed back into place, and then made sure along the front edge i re siliconed to stop any water getting in, and wow pleasantly suprised its the only step i have absolutly no rust, i only wish id done this to my cab steps, and learnt how to take the plastic steps off and do the same, but anyway once ive welded holes, ill be applying same method....to keep good for another 18t=yrs!! just a good thing ive learnt along the way *******

Such a lovely video guys! So true about the fixed bed...we had a slide out jobby in the old van, we knew for certain we wanted fixed in our new van as it was super super annoying! Great build and design ! We are just starting a cargo trailer conversion and had planned to do what you did with the seats and pull out table. Can you provide the dimensions for the seats and what is the height of the table ? Is the table on drawer slides or held in place with a wooden track ? Thanks so much.
@OurWildHorizons3 жыл бұрын
Ah thank you for the compliments. I can’t remember the dimensions but what I did was put the toilet in place and measure around that making sure there was enough space to accommodate it and some toilet roll etc. Then kept the symmetry using the same on the other side. For the table, it’s on a very basic wooden track with a length of wood holing it up and two more on the sides to prevent it wiggling too much. I hope that helps! Good luck with your build 🙂

hi guys, great conversion... were going to use a few of your ideas for our own build so thanks for the ideas! out of interest is the £3000 you spent including the purchase of the van? thanks and safe travels

Sounds great! enjoy your build!!! No that was just for the conversion, half of that was electrics! We need a lot as we work online :) xx

Amaziiiiiiing inspiring video :D Thank you sincerely!! Quick qu. regarding budget: how much, including the van itself, did the full build cost? I've been looking and vans vary in price enormously, anything from £5k to £15k.....I'm so inspired your up-cycling, it's wonderful - it's clear that can keep build costs down - but I'm curious to know how much you spent in total from acquiring the van itself to your beautiful full conversion? Lots of love and thank you again for your generosity x

Thank you so much for watching!! the van its self was under 5k and the build was all under 3k :) We plan to make a video about all the exact prices for everything :) Van prices are so high at the moment as people aren't going abroad! Hope it get better!

Ah super. What a brilliant budget you had! :-D Yes, let's see what happens to van prices.....fingers, toes, everything crossed. Thank you and lots of love to y'all in España! xxx

The bed doesn’t look very long. How tall are you both? I am over 6’ and it looks way too short for me … charming van otherwise.
@OurWildHorizons Жыл бұрын
I’m 6’1 and if I stand up straight as possible my head is just touching the ceiling so it’s bigger than it looks. Nice to have such a big garden though for when I need a stretch 😄
