This is a good video. You're a good guy. I like you. I'd like to note that Sunderer deployment during a mass armor push is an equally great way to net certs, especially if you're close enough to the front lines to get a ton of spawns, and if you have capable gunners getting the occasional kill. This can also be used in addition to the methods mentioned in the video, park and deploy the sunderer, repair/heal/capture/kick-ass, and hope that it doesn't get C4'd too quickly.

Agreed. Covered this in part 2, definitely a fun thing to do late at night when you can't find a decent fight.

Awesome vid. My standard cert grind technique is to join a capping squad until we hit something big. then hag around after it and repair *everything.* It takes a while to do this on your own (which is the only way to a decent amount of cert) but it will earn you 10-15 cert depending on the base, plus the capping bonus, kill and support XP etc. Afterwards you just redeploy on your squad leader and start all over again. It's basically a combination of all three methods mentioned in the clip.

I usually play Light Assault due to their amazing mobility, but I've really been enjoying my Engineer as well. In addition to being a huge asset for vehicles and MAXes, their turret is amazing when set up right. I love sneaking behind enemy lines and mowing people down.
@KnownAsKenji11 жыл бұрын
In addition ammunition or repair sundies are affordable to upgrade, and a great investment in the long run. If you consistently go for those big armor battles, it will pay for itself before you know it, and then start earning you dividends. In addition, it's an excellent battle tactic, and people will LOVE you for providing the service. And to top all of that off, for any of the 'supportive'methods in these posts or the video, you will gain even more if it's fellow squad members. So, squad up
@MongoosePartyBeansMacLeod-3JR11 жыл бұрын
Back when capping took a little less time I used to hop in an Reaver, go to the map, and look at which bases were getting close to flipping. I would fly there and grab the easy experience and then fly to the next base that was about to flip. It really only works when your faction has a larger pop and is taking a lot of territory fast, but it is also a super easy way to grab a few free certs.
@WrelPlays12 жыл бұрын
Good question. Firstly, you don't really have a shot against Heavy Assault's rocket launcher... but off the top of my head, from 15-25 meters sounds about right. Engineer turrets aren't the most accurate tools, but neither are the HA LMGs. If you're talking about a standup fight, the best position for your turret would be on slightly lower terrain than the HA, so you get more shield coverage. Aside from that, aim for the upper chest. I'll likely be doing an Engineer guide in the future. Kudos

Killing is a pretty high risk/reward cert farming method. If you are in a heavily crowded area like The Crown, that may work good, but playing support gives more in general. Going to The Crown as an Engineer or Medic and trying to repair/heal everything is possibly one of the best ways.

Its a starcraft reference where zerging is when a crap ton of enemy players storm an area or location, the zerg a biological spices in the game starcraft often use this strategy where each unit in the zerg force is expendable (same goes to you if you join one however if your smart you can stay alive and rack up points)
@Cygnus_B11 жыл бұрын
You can go with a ESF flying over the map, and if there's someone capturing an enemy base (and if you're close enough to that base) you can receive those points

A good method for racking up kills in larger, more congested fights. Is to get the carbine with a grenade launcher and go engineer. Drop that ammo pack at a vantage point which gives you both good cover and a good firing angle and drop grenades on enemy positions (especially a sunderer) and you can get great amounts of cert points both from the kills of the grenades and the ammo supply you give your teammates around you.

Since most of these techniques are fixed now (you need to cap surrounding territories to touch generators, for example), here's a few: - Do alerts. Not only do you get the exp from kills/healing/whatever, win or lose you get a semi-large to massive handful of exp depending how well your faction did. - Combat medic or Engineer. Both these guys are extremely useful and extremely appreciated. Depends if you want to babysit a choke point or heal a MAX. - Make a spawn Sunderer.

Look on the map for bases well within your territory that have flashing icons because there was fighting recently and the generators were destroyed. Set a waypoint there and fly there in a fighter jet as an engineer. Once there, fix every single generator, turret, terminal, etc, one by one. Any enemy turrets or terminals, destroy and and repair to make them into your faction's. Then find another base, possibly on another continent and continue. Gets loads of cert points.

Recapping desolate zones is absolutely a legitimate strategy. Anything that expands your influence and lets you attack from new angles is very welcome. But, this video was about how to legitimately grind for experience/certs, and back-capping is a slow and boring process for doing so.

Scarred Mesa Skydock, one of the most popular places to capture and fight over, I you're TR or NC. Easy certs there if you're trying to take it and you're the TR. Just get a Sundy with the ams upgrade for 50 certs, get up there close and hide it well. Deploy it with the B key, let people spawn. It's 2 exp per person, but if you're one of the only guys there with a deployable sunderer, you'll be set with exp and certs.

My three favorite ways to earn certs are as follows: After capping a base, repair EVERYTHING, it adds up quick. Hop into your factions fastest plane and hop from place to place that are being capped, easy exp. Third, get into a plane, fly around an unoccupied enemy base and take out all their turrets (all you have to do is hover! or keep pressing the space bar if you are NC :( )

Here's how I learned to fly: I made a Vanu character, and practiced on the Scythe. It controls much more smoothly, so it's great for practice. After that, purchase those.. dang, I forget what they're called. They improve performance, and there's one or speed, one for dogfights, and one for hovering. I personally feel like hovering is the best overall, but I could be wrong.

correction on the medic. at max lvl the medic gun gives 100% hp. exp for revives is increase with every lvl put into the medic gun aswell as the time takes for rez(about .7 secs).if you go where the deaths are (bio domes and amps stations) in big fights where everyone dies over and over with max medic gun it seems you will gain more then a person that is getting kills. its x2 exp weekend atm but i ended up getting in a single hour of nothing but rez ( and maybe 4 kills) +100 serts.

Well, if you have a mouse with thumb buttons, set them to pitch up and pitch down, as most people don't have these buttons or haven't set them up, you can easily pull up behind them, they won't be able to keep up as they need to keep lifting the mouse of the pad and putting it back down again.

The best way to get xp is to go to Amerish where there are no people, and use your default Revaer/Scythe/Mosquito gun to destroy all the turrets at your local amp station. (since there's not usually many people on Amerish one faction will usually own everything because of ghost caps, so you don't have to fly far to find enemy turrets). Then, when your faction takes said amp station, go back and repair all the turrets.

Another way I found to make easy certs is rolling with AA lightning tank, You gotta be good at leading a target, but if there is many of them fly boys around, you can rank up exp like it's x-mass. :) Make sure to bring an engineer too, to repair the tank as it get shot, and thus earning more exp as well.

The best way I've found to grind Certs while being a helpful person was is to get on at a time where there is almost nobody online(If you're playing in a server around your timezone, 1:00-3:00 AM is the best time for be) and start capping bases while nobody is online. I usually get 350-500 certs per session, 2 hour sessions, and you don't have to have much of a party.

VS is a better learning platform because out of the gate their weapons shoot have less recoil or no recoil, their tanks can strafe, and since their tanks hover their tanks main guns don't bounce around like other factions. With that being said, once players start to learn how to overcome the obstacles to the other factions weapons they can win against VS because their weapons hit harder or shoot faster from what I can see, so VS is disadvantaged a bit in the long run (except maybe in theair)
@WrelPlays12 жыл бұрын
This was mostly just using the mouse without a lot of tricks, just finding holes and flying through them. The biggest thing for flying an obstacle course like this is learning how big your aircraft is, and keeping that spatial awareness. But I'm utter trash in a dogfight, I'll be the first to tell you.

also, the tankbuster gun on the lib only costs 100 certs to unlock, it can kill a lib in a clip and a half, turrets in about 3/4 of a clip, any esf in 1 clip, and infantry in 1-4 shots is can also kill a lightning from the back in half a clip and 1-2 clips from anyware else and any MBT (except vanguard) in 2 clips from the front/side/top (assuming no armor) i like just gooing to amerish and killing every turret with this thing and it usally gives me 20-30 certs in 10 mins

a lot of practice, you can check some guides, but the best way is to bind pitch up and down on your mouse buttons, which allows a maximum pitch rather than the usual analog controls (keep them though). 1. Play during maximum pop hours. 2. tank/ha/air spam from maximum distance With such tactics you can easily earn more than 120 certs in 2 hours. I've seen people who can do 80+ in one hour, but they play solely for certs. Since esf has been nerfed recently, the fastest way to kickstart certgrinding is to use tanks from maximum distance. I play nc, and their MBT has slowest fire rate and lowest buff from he shells. However, vanguard's shell already has biggest splash radius by default.
@profdrsirlukas11 жыл бұрын
A good way is to play as medic, get a friend to play engineer, then make him repair a damaged turret continuously under heavy enemy artillery fire. You stay in cover and keep reviving him. I got about 30-40 certs in 10 minutes this way, and the engineer got about half that. The medic gun has to be fully upgraded though.

Using LA and bombing runs with 1 C4 and grande gets about 10 kills a min if your good and in a big battle. Second C4 rarely helps as you will often die right after activating the first as you only have a couple of secs to get your explosives into the biggest groups you see before you get shot. This tactic will often make you run out of infantry resources especially if you use C4

No doubt playing VS is another easy way to earn certs. Mattherson was down for about 20 minutes yesterday so a few of us went to Connery and rolled some VS characters. We play NC on Mattherson and we were quite impressed with the ease of play. I was able to gain Certs a lot faster playing VS than NC. Sniping at the crown is easy. Both attacking and defending the crown as an infiltrator can earn you an easy 80 certs per hour or more depending on your skill. repairing turrets = 5 xp every 2 seconds (minus delays for moving between turrets, etc.) -or- ~150 xp per minute at virtually no personal risk. (Leading to higher sustained xp gain overall) Repairing destroyed turrets behind your own lines also preps turrets for defense against back-capping or shifts in the battle lines. The only downside is occasionally feeding exploiters "back-smashing" in tanks/liberators. Of course, this gives you the opportunity to shoot them down...

This wasn't an error so much as something worth mentioning to players.

Here's a bad ass tactic. If you like emptying your mag, as you scream at the top of your lungs, and slaying enemy rifle monkeys, then find a combat medic, an engineer and a max, then play a heavy assault. As the Max and engineer sit there eating rounds and dishing them back, sit behind cover and just empty mags down range. You'll get millions of assists, as the max murders the hell out of stuff. The medic will keep you all healed up, and keep your six covered. This works best near doors.

Two best ways to grind certs and xp, is either be a medic or an engineer. i prefer medic, as more people are dieing thats like 150xp per heal, usually takes 10seconds and in biolab or other close knit fights thats like 6-10 heals a minute, thats 4 certs a minute, 240 certs an hour. that is ALOT of certs people ALOT. only 5 ish hours for a new gun is a record. will be less certs to begin with but once you max your heal gun and aoe heal you will be racking in even more certs.
