The Amish around here build barns like yours for entertaining guests. They call them "Company Sheds", because that's where the company gathers when they arrive. The idea has grown in popularity and there are lots of English folks with "Company Sheds" now too.

I'm doing about the same thing in Oregon,... Logs, Firewood, fresh mountain air where you can breath deep, DEER, Cougar, Elk , Bobcat , Turkeys etc. at my back door( sometimes on my deck too).... The building is Levi’s place of work, and you use it as a base, so perhaps just call it Home Base or Centerfield. You could use a baseball theme for other locations, like first, second and third base, bullpen, the Mound, etc. have a wonderful Christmas.

Mike, far be it for me to tell you how to do anything, but you might want to think about using a wheelbarrow to transport and hold the wood for the woodstove. I do that and it makes things a bit nicer, since the majority of the little bark pieces stay in the barrow!

"The Gathering Place" would be great for a building that is used for so many family activities.

On Texas ranches, most of us have the “cookshack” where most of the meals were cooked for the Cowboys over the years. With less cowboys on today’s ranches we still call them cookshacks, but they’re more of a family gathering and party place. Your “building” doubles as a workplace, office, or even a family headquarters. I think you could call it “the Headquarters” or HQ for short. We have another spot on the ranch that is primarily used for campfire cooking and stargazing - we finished setting it up about Christmas, so it is referred to as the “Christmas Camp”. Would also work for you. Merry Christmas!!
