When little Elon Musk was building the model S originally. It didn’t even have interior lights in the rear. It was pretty much done at that point and his son was in the car for a drive and he said ‘who builds a car without lights inside. This is the stupidest car ever” and that’s what had them change it. I honestly think that Elon Musk doesn’t know his stuff. Being a billionaire and having studied some science 🧪 - society tends to assume and allows those people to be “above us” intellectually and I think it’s so wrong. Musk to me is a quack. Has some decent insights but he should know his place. No one is going to mars anytime soon. Maybe 75-150 years. He needs to settle down and quit quackin and doing dumb builds thinking it’s the future. He thinks he’s cool but the stuff he’s making is dangerous. A yolk is for planes for a reason.

Ive owned my Tesla S Plaid for almost a year now. I find the yoke unique, comfortable during cruising in a straight line and enjoy the increased visibility of the dash. Low speed maneuvers, performance driving feel cumbersome wielding the yoke IMO. I could even see the yoke being dangerous in an emergency maneuver situation. I certainly have adapted techniques overtime that make the yoke livable. It's funny, but Tesla has recently made the round steering wheel an option for the new Tesla S and X. There is also a Steering Wheel Retrofit in the Tesla Shop (available in March) for the Model S/X and I am definitely buying one.
