I remember going to field as an “OC” in a 2 seater HMMV with the “covered wagon’’ over the flatbed. My driver and I loaded up our coolers with food and cokes for several days and had our sleeping bags unrolled in the back. Wasn’t quite as luxurious as that vehicle, but it sure did feel like it at the time!

Unless you do a lot of technical and tight trails, the full sizes just make so much sense. By the time you put 35s and build out a Tacoma, you're getting nearly the same mileage as a Power Wagon. It just doesn't seem to make much sense to take that big of a hit of a fuel economy and still be in something the size of a Tacoma.

Cool rigs and congrats on getting your own merch booth. Add me to the list of people who dig the classics. I'm sure I could build a Humvee ambulance out for much less than $350k. G-Wagens are seriously underrated because of their reputation for Beverly Hills cruising but they are built as off-road vehicles. I would love to get an old diesel G-Wagen and get it dirty like its designers intended. I've given thought to getting a JDM van and making a camper out of it. Delicas have jumped in price because everyone wants them because they look cool but Toyota HiAces are still slept on.

Your issue with the Gladiators is power? Perhaps, if you like the platform but want something more powerful, you could have a chat with your fellow E3 pals in Lite Brite. They just swapped a 426 into the Stepchild, and a demon engine into their brand new 392, so they won't be having any power issues out on the trails. I spose you could also supercharge or turbo charge the pentastar, but I have heard mixed things about that configurations reliability. Though I'm guessing you'll be good with your current fleet of jeeps, that bronco, and the oldtimer project vehicle you have now, so you probably don't really need an engine swapped Gladiator, nor the hundreds of thousands in the price tag that comes with it. Oh, and whatever happened to your Power Wagon and 4Wheel Camper?

I would say “no” in reference to the Bronco. Too much premium ($10,000-$20,000) added to almost all of them. Why pay the premium to drive a Bronco when there are other capable options and you can take that premium money to buy gear or put into the rig build.
