Overanalyzing SMG4 - The Revelations Arc

This was a fun conclusion, and yeah I do agree with the sentiment that this was rushed and a bit too fast, as it only really picked up with the movie and absolute betrayal. Though otherwise, I liked this, looking back on genesis the wonderful folks at GLITCH certainly have something going for them.

Revelations arc felt way too quick for me because the dark theme came out of nowhere. That's the only mistake i can tell from this arc. Instead of a slowly paced arc, it felt way too rushed, especially in Untimate betrayal. But overall, I enjoyed the arc, I really liked the College episodes and the Cosmology episodes. Just wished they had more content and progression into it.

One plothole with this is that why did they only bring Mario, SMG4 and SMG3 on the adventure? Steve needs no introduction, Luigi has extreme ascension powers, Shaggy can fight Goku, and Waluigi has his rejection powers. And speaking of Steve, Revelations was disrespectful towards him. He have an entire scene of Meggy saving her abusers teammates like a "badass", yet they only show Steve in single flash even though he is Steve. And why does he need to be rescued? He's Steve, he doesn't need no heros to save him.

I find it incredible that the movies seems to have been inspired by Treasure Planet and Atlantis the lost empire for some scenes. The god box being so powerful and made of entities that it developped a conscience of its own, leading to a feel of lonelyness that is portrayed by Niles reminds me of the heart of Atlantis. The scene with them escaping the exploding box looks straight from the climax of the former.

The arc was amazing and i love the fact that niles looked like a college student and we all thought that besides tari when she never saw nikes.and i love that the real arc is smg4 not the one in the universe but the one who controls everything where he has a problem with zero trying to create a new universe which only smg4 (irl) can do

About Zero. One of the best villains. While for the most of the Genesis Arc he was viewed as a creature of pure evil in the penultimate episode of that arc Zero revealed what it wants which was a great buildup to the reveal in the movie

It's honestly the best SMG4 Movie since Meggy's Destiny and I haven't cried hard since Desti Death. Luke and Kevin as usual exceed our expectations with thier hard work giving us a Masterpiece video on KZbin!

I think that even if the cosmology lore it's officially over, we didn't really get to see everything. Again, I said it before somewhere else, but I'd love to see the little things that they dropped only in the movie, like the anti meme energy.

While the Revelations Arc did cover many questions, it also created many other questions: Will we ever see the god box again?, Will anti - memes make an appearance again?, Does the afterlife in the smg4 universe work and is different than ours?, If the great beyond is seen as a dimension where "gods" are, how will threats in the real world affect everyone else? The questions are limitless and while I can't wait to see the answers, I'm afraid that will be for another day. I don't that the god box is gone for good. Remember when we thought Zero was dead, we wasn't. So, it is a possibility but for now, that will have to wait.

I named the arc "Timeline corruption" and introduce a new character (adapted from Undertale) and the arc might be as complicated and interesting as the smg4 arc and movies. I would really like to share the arc plot in the comment once I finished it. Would you like to see it? (Spoilers: There are three dark scenes in the arc, the power of RESET will also be used)

The revelations movie was amazing in my opinion, with its tense moments and SMG0's backstory being both dark and interesting, but the other episodes just felt like a crooked staircase leading up to the movie.

my only issue is Bob never got busted for the anti-virus scene- I personally have the mindset things like that should play a role later- elsewise, why have Bob leave? It basically undone his development in Bob the Rapper

The unironically best joke of this arc was when Bob threatened Mario in the first episode(The comedy peaked in the first episode, were off to a great start). But the funniest parts of the arc were Diety Melonys screams and Zero eating Melony. Diety Melonys screams are so stupid that it's funny, and Zero eating Melony is hilarious because funny vore joke.

I have feeling why they did this is that later on depending on how old Nintendo owners is. That the new owner put them in law suit might not be Mario from them for so similar. Two is KZbin them self because we know we know that KZbin give you in trouble for the smallest thing. Like how a certain KZbinr got in troubled and another one is when they was playing Minecraft and had something inappropriate in it and got it in trouble. So it’s most likely that because we never know what they got from their channel. I also think they are planning something for another one.

Waluigi Arc: Wario and Waluigi's arc. Rapper Bob Arc: Bob and Boopkins arc(And a bit of Saiko's arc). Anime Arc: Meggy and Desti's arc(Though personally, Desti's "arc" is poorly written). KZbin Arc: SMG3 and the Anti Cast's arc. Genesis Arc: Axol and Melony's arc(And a bit of SMG3's arc) Revelations Arc: Melony, SMG0 and Niles arc(And a bit of SMG3's arc). The only major characters who need an arc is Mario, Luigi, and Tari(Who doesn't have any character development nor any backstory).

They can do other arca, but they're not related to the "lore"(I used quotations because Genesis and Revelations retcons too much of SMG4. At least Sonic doesn't actively retcon its own lore). Like how even though the Infinity Saga of the MCU is over, it's still going.

honestly I thought the arc was pretty good ( no I had to complaints with us are being it has a similar problem on how I felt with a KZbin Arc it was mostly filler but at least development for the arc but here I felt that it was basically just rarely had done anything to develop much of the orbital the absolute betrayal and the movie. my second problem was the Box Club did you show up just to show the the god box and they just pretty much like character development) yeah by the way without the movie I would say it would have been decent

Yeah, I agree,.I wish there was a post credit scene in Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes 4 where it turns out that the video was just a dream by Mario because he fell asleep in the cage, but then they figure out how to escape. It's the same problem with Sonic Forces where theres no clear reason why Shadow was gone for 6 months only to come back to kick his phantom clones ass.

This arc was horrible imo. Not a fan of the college section cause it wasn't interesting and mainly focused on Meggy and Melony. Melony I get but why Meggy, we've seen enough of her YOU HAVE MORE CHARACTERS THAN JUST MEGGY USE THEM. And the cosmology section was just horrible and ruined Genesis. All throught the Genesis arc, we see hints of Zero and get lead to believe something tragic happened to him and he just wants his home back, Revelations just makes *Niles* a selfish little baby who want's everything to be perfect. What made Zero so good in the Genesis arc was while he was a monster, you could see his motivation and in a way, sympathize with why he became what he became. They just turned the best villain in the series into a whiny baby and it was so stupid. Also, I think they could've done more with Axol here. During the Genesis arc, we saw Zero try to capture different people so he could have a body in that universe, Axol unfortunately being the one he ended up getting. To me it made a connection between Axol and Zero, heck we literally got to guess what Zero looked like based on the merged parts in Axol's body. I'm not saying bring him back to life, but I think there was opportunity for more usages of him after his connection to Zero. And to end it off, the pacing was so stupid. One minute its haha college time, and then 5 minutes later the universe is collapsing and Zero is on his way to achieve his goal once more. Instead of focusing so much on the college scene and bringing Zero back after only a few months, we should've gotten a movie buildup with Melony using Inkweaver to get Axol the title of greatest anime artist again since he never got to get it back after dying, and work on ending the cosmology storyline further down the road and giving it more time to flesh out and be written so it doesn't ruin the villain and feel forced.
