Here's my promised review! The book lives up to it's hype and is as completes as a calisthenics book can be. It'll be hard to top this! I'm only reviewing a few parts that i really liked here, as a full review would take way too long. Enjoy the peek inside and please click on that thumbs up button, so more people see this! :)

Thanks for the review. I wish you had explained what makes this book different from the first Overcoming Gravity, like, did they add some information? Did they change the structure of the book? Etc.

That's something that i would have loved to do aswell - but sadly i never owned the first version! I just read through it for about half an hour at a friend's place long time ago. What definitely improved though are the diagrams (the old ones were horrible 2d images) and i've also found a lot of info on scapula (shoulder blade) positioning that definitely wasn't there in the first edition. Judging from my experience with the first edition, this is a complete overhaul that hauls the first edition into modern times and smoothes out all the edges of the first version. Edit: spelling.
@demetris62148 жыл бұрын
My friend this is a totally revised edition. Tons of new information. Very easy to understand and the diagrams are clear and 3D. Definitely worth it.

Hello Tykato! Heard good and great things about the book.. Just started delving into the world of bodyweight training and i was always fascinated by feats seen on the olympics and now that i have the means.. I wanna get back into fitness this way.. . Was thinking of doing the recommended routine and im tryna figure out where to add barbell training like big 3.. Just wanted to train in a way that incorporates both barbell and bodyweight training.. Just wondering if your book covers this in good detail for programming... Really thinking of picking up a copy.. Some insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the review! Got the book yesterday and love it. It's huge but the editing and visual quality is SO much better. As for ring wide push-ups: van you clarify your ideal progression? The reddit RR moves from diamond to wide pushup on rings, and then close pushup on rings, right? Do you suggest skipping wide? Are they dangerous to shoulders?
@Steven-Low8 жыл бұрын
You can skip wide if they aggravate your shoulders and/or you can move into narrow elbow pushups directly.

Does this edition include the information from the 1st edition? I am wondering if I can just get this book and not get the first one
@andrewbarnes84758 жыл бұрын
Thanks for providing the review. I read the 1st edition and was really impressed but I did have some criticisms of it in terms of it being in dire need of a good edit. Spelling and grammar or just plainly not edited, made for a frustrating read at times. A good deal of it was often repeated too, like seeking the advice of a medical practitioner.

Hallo Manuel. Top Buchvorstellung. DANKE.
@tykato6 жыл бұрын

@leonbremer42165 жыл бұрын

Thanks for the great review! As a weight lifter who wants to try calisthenics, I'd like to know if you would recommend "Overcoming Gravity" or if you think some other book is more suitable for this purpose,, as Ashley Kalym's "Complete Calisthenics" or Paul Wade's "Convict conditioning".
@citizenz46406 жыл бұрын
this is a way better book as you actually learn how to implement your routines and you won't have to depend on other programs

Hi! :)
@tykato8 жыл бұрын
Moin Alex!
@Alexmar3458 жыл бұрын
Sehr nice! Und das nur mit RR? Nichts anderes zwischendurch?
@tykato8 жыл бұрын

hi, I have been doing the reddit RR for about 10 weeks and have done nothing like it in the past . I am pleased with my progression so far and was looking to spend some money on possibly a GMB program. In your opinion as a beginner would I be better to by the book just now and continue with the RR or get some individual advice from GMB ? Thanks for all the uploads
@tykato8 жыл бұрын
It depends on where your preference lies! The book has a ton of information for a beginner, possibly even an information flood - so if you love to read and learn get it! If, however, you would like to focus on your training first, picking up a GMB beginner program is money well spent! :)
