If you get this, he is on Find a Grave and some of USNF is there and a sign you are looking for. Also some of his family have done memorials. later Naval Reserve became Coast Guard. And he is not buried there he was on a ship sunk.

So good to see the Other Robert. This was an amazing but sad find. I wonder, if you reported your findings to a local historical society, they might find churches, businesses or volunteers that would help restore the area. Maybe at least put up a marker that there is a cemetery.

Hi from Australia guys. My favourite trio have done it again with another epic cemetery find. Will you be informing someone about the veteran buried there? He needs to be honoured methinks.

Glad to see "the other Robert" out with you, it's been a while. You visit one cemetery that is somewhat well kept then you hit one lost to the world. Keep exploring history one marker at a time.

It's so sad to see graveyards wind up in this condition. My family has it's own graveyard on the backside of what used to be the family farm and it's now 162 years old and we still use it and keep it mowed. Once a year we also have "Graveyard Day" where the whole family shows up and does extra cleaning and whatever repairs are necessary like resetting stones. Afterwards we have a big pitch in dinner at the graveyard.

@15:00 William Thomas Hutchinson 1861-1863 according to findagrave. The 2013 photo on findagrave show NO pine tree of any size growing beside the grave stone. All of the pine trees need to be cut to prevent damage to the graves.

Great find! So glad to see this! Families get busy with life and find it difficult to go off the beaten path to service these plots. IMHO You can see by new growth they have tried to beat nature back. At some point. Thanks for showing this Cemetary as my family comes from this area down to FL GA line. My uncle has been trying to research but he's 82 and wife I'll. Also has dyslexia. But he plugs away . Happy holidays to you and family 🙏😀
