It's amazing I live 2 minutes from corkscrew and go over it all the time but still amazes me every single time

I knew most of the areas in the video but never seen much of it from above. Great footage you got there. In the spring of 2016 I went to that washout near Mountain Park/Grave Flats and smoothed the banks then we clawed our way up with the jeep. Only the sxs’s and quads were doing it until then. Before that a new trail had developed but you had to cross the river twice and it was just wide enough for a sxs. That crossing is getting pretty good now though. Used to take my Class A motorhome past there before the river washed it out in 2013.

I went through there back in the mid 90's with a full sized truck and camper and it was a wide open road. It's kind of nice to see the traffic reduced because of the wash outs. We didn't see a single vehicle for two days! Thanks for checking it out.

Brings back a lot of memories. My parents loved to fish, especially fly fishing, so we would take off for several weeks each summer exploring the trunk road. This was in the late 50's and the fishing was awesome. Beautiful country.

Same here, I grew up on the prairies and my first exposure to the Rocky Mountains was on a road trip from Debolt down the FTR to Coleman with my parents. Have been going back ever since.

Wow, very epic video. Do you think I can drive with the Subaru Forester with stock suspension (8.7inches ground clearance) with hitch Mount cargo carrier?
@longstepadventures77703 жыл бұрын
Most of the trip you could with the exception of Mountain Park to Wild Boy Camp, high clearance vehicles are needed for that section but for the most part the road would be easily accessible for your car.

@longstepadventures77703 жыл бұрын
That water fall is at the Ram Falls Provincial Recreation area. It would be on the section of the FTR south of Nordegg or west of Rocky Mountain House. Thanks for checking it out.

@longstepadventures77703 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can access it west of Cochrane on hwy 1A. That road goes all the way up to Hinton and you can get back on to it near Grande Cache and go all the way to Grande Prairie. Its a combination of highway 40 and 734. Thanks for checking out our channel! :-)
