Chris I just have to say I absolutely love how you respect all the fish and take the time to appreciate them. Also another thing I love how you can take the time to appreciate what is around you like the sunset. I am impressed. Thanks for doing this videos. Brian

Late comment, but have watched a bit of your stuff and just now the sword videos as its on the list running out of DE to get one next season once we get the tackle ironed out and probably build a rod for it. Was going to comment on the video previously of your first sword and say that beastmaster sure looked like it was struggling on that first smaller sword, and than this video your using the big guns. Congrats on getting the puzzle solved.
@reaperfishingnj86234 жыл бұрын
Yea the Beastmaster was a bit underpowered for these swordies. The Hooker 80 is no joke though

Just a real quick comment guys n gals. I watch a lot of Florida swordifishing vids. They're mostly in 30-maybe 40 ft Center Consoles if that. To provide a frame of reference......our Beam alone is 15'2" and our cockpit is at least twice the square footage of their entire fishing space on the whole boat. So when you think our fish look small compared to theirs. Just consider the background and how DSLR and GoPRo cams change/alter dimension. Also....I'm not knocking Florida guys. I used to live and fish there and am ultimately jealous as all hell. But this is my HOME>

Down in the Gulf off of Alabama or Louisana out Venice, as much as we love to see blue water and flying fish and all the fun stuff, we have had our best days by far in green water. It can't be brown Mississippi river flood water with hyacinths floating in it (yes, we have seen hyacinths the last couple of times 90 miles south of Mobile Bay), but green is preferrable for yellowfin fishing because you can run up to 100lb flouro and slightly larger circle hooks with no danger of them seeing it and not biting. When it's blue we have had to go down to 3/0 hooks and 40lb flouro, which makes it very very hard to catch them.

Great stuff guys. The one thing i have to say is ole boy who gaffed the Wahoo is in for a rude awakening if he keeps letting their mouths near his feet. That can turn ugly real quick and it ruins a day. I say this from experience 😂 That Hooker electric setup is SICK

How can you say its way to small if it with in the legal limits? Like saying your way to young to drink at 22 years old.
