What he doesn't know is that after he collects 10 oyster, the Enraged Oyster Queen and Furious Crab Guards, all level 15, will show up. If you were wise enough to level up your luck to 30, there's 0.5% chance that the EOQ will drop a rare EOQ Pearl which could be useful for the next 3 levels.

So by WoW logic the "?" would have been gray, unless Ben already had 10 oysters in his inventory, which would immediately mark his quest as completed and ready to be turned in, as Melan P said. But they can do whatever they want, symbols and colors and all, it is their "game" after all :D
