Yo Chris, again thanks alot for this high quality content. I am just about to finish the SCULPT program. I got a lot more explosive and faster on the soccerfield (or football as we would say in europe lol) and leaner my friends and family said so. I am now in WEEK 12 and just finished Day 3. I didnt shoot a before picture to see my transformation but i will do so after i finish my exams and restart the sculpt program. To you guys thinking about trying out one of the ATHLETE BUILT programs: DO IT, BUT STICK TO IT. why am i saying that? some days will be FUCKING hard (sorry for cursing) and you'll be like "fuck it ill go tomorrow to the gym and hit that workout". hell no. stick to the program and you will see results. as chris once already said, the SCULPT PROGRAM has 5 DAYS in 3 WEEKS and 1 DELOAD WEEK for 4 DAYS in 1 PHASE. I promise you, you will be struggling, but if you stick to it, nothing will stop you. Master your mind, you will overcome the struggles. CHRIS THANKS A LOT

Hey i play soccer too. Does this program make a huge difference?
@WASQEHTN
@WASQEHTN 7 жыл бұрын
gotta point out that i was a lot bigger before i started this program. i leaned out, yet i got stronger, which directly translated on to the fields i have much more power, conditioning, explosiveness and physical 1on1' s vs bigger guys be it on the ground or in the air has drastically increased. drastically increase in means of like 5%-10% stronger if i would have to explain it in numbers. and that is in my opinion, in a sport where every step counts, hell of a lot. of course you gotta put your mind into it, get your movement mechanics right, keep a clean diet, stick to the plan. some movements you gotta practice before you actually can perform them technique wise 100% to get the right results which was so in my case.

I tried many. But this is real shhit. For all you guys I want to add something. I am ACE certified Trainer by myself n soccer player. So if you training for less time game like sprint or throw. Keep the reps to 4-5,2-3 sets n rest 2-3 minutes in each set. If u training for soccer, or football. Long event. Then one first session short. Jus like i mentioned. N second session long. 10-15 reps. Rest 2-3 minutes.

Liked the training session, just 1 thing... the guy has terrible Squat form to be loading that much on the bar. He doesn't even reach parallel and if you see him from the back at 6:38 he's missaligned, it seems his QL might be shortened in his left side, aswell as his psoas.
@Jwilliamshoops24

@317MaseX
@317MaseX 6 жыл бұрын
when you are training sports specific ,like in football for example, going parallel is not as important as it would be for general bodybuilding. So going just above parallel is honestly more efficient related to his sport because in football you will never be parallel in a squat.

Chris Burris Music I think he did it for releasing the psoas muscle, it tends to get stiff. Releasing it would improve your jumping.

30 seconds stretches before plyometrics?? How about the fact that static stretches reduce force and power?
@overtimeathletes
@overtimeathletes 7 жыл бұрын
Yes true but what good is all that power if tight muscles are inhibiting the athlete from proper technique? In his circumstance, I don't static stretch every muscle just particular ones that prevent him from properly performing the intended movement. Check the Janda Approach.

shouldn't you avoid isometric stretching before training?
@emZee1994
@emZee1994 7 жыл бұрын
Blake Piffin no. the only time static stretching will reduce your power is if you stretch and immediately lift or run or something. your power will come back in as little as a minute after the strecth. and if strecthing improves your form and positioning (which is why we do it) then that will translate into more efficent movement which means moving faster, more explosive and lifting more weight. both in the long term and short term
@vinuzo9548
@vinuzo9548 6 жыл бұрын
Blake Piffin he explained this in a video. He says if a muscle is particularly tight, he'd rather stretch it and lose power than have it tight and cause poor movement patterns.

@cathaloneill2225
@cathaloneill2225 7 жыл бұрын
Agreed, 99% of S&C for field sports is transferable across sports. Maximize your ability to accelerate, decelerate, change direction and jump before you think "sport specific". The only additional work for rugby may be increased isometric lower body movements for scrums and rucks and overhead head strength for line-out lifting.
@iainmcclure416
@iainmcclure416 5 жыл бұрын
@@kingquads6982 I reckon everything in that video is good for rugby. Add upper body strength (especially forwards) and agility ladder drills (especially backs) and you have a programme. Look at basketball drills for height at line-out and catching high kicks.
