How do you choose weight (intensity level) and repetitions when it comes to compund movements depending on which phase you are in? How not to go too much or too low

my recommendation is follow the heavy duty routine. for me I do 6-8 reps of slow negative and a realy really fast concentric movement going up. this builds explosiveness and muscle faster

Weight/ intensity level is dependent upon several things. One being what Mesocycle you are training in, two, what stimulus you're training to create, and three, what the athlete is capable of will determin the weight(RPE, 1RM etc....)
