Welcome to OverAnalyzed, our Overwatch coaching series with Stylosa! Today we look at a Bastion and Genji players, that thinks they should be in platinum, but actually they're HARDSTUCK Gold! Bastion can work, but only if you play with the team! As we're about to see, this Bastion player dosnt really play with the team at all, oh no! He does swap out to Genji and a few other heroes, but surely this player can make it to Plat, right? Well, let's try and coach this Gold Overwatch player into Platinum!

I remember a game just like this on ilios ruins gold. We won the teamfight and I pushed up with my rein to hold them off since it was 99%, overtime hit and one Junkrat was there and wasted 4 of my teammates with spam and a last sec tire, I ran back during the commotion and quickly two shot him as Mei thankfully ❄️

mercy is better if her strength isnt healing. its impossible to argue that healing as mercy is skillful. her skill comes from positioning, and when to use damage boost, when to res etc. if shes a good HEALER, meaning her heals are better, she takes no skill. she takes skill now, but mercy as a main healer doesnt. other healers just need nerfs tbh

@@ryanjackson9109 Yeah buffing mercy would just make power creep worse. More healing would mean there needs to be more damage and we end up in this cycle of endless buffs. I would rather see nerfs to brig, bap, moira and ana and to counteract nerfs to some of the heroes that have been buffed over the years, like genji, tracer, ashe, mccree etc.

Let's be honest you'd be more surprise "if" they stayed behind your barrier then if they fed like this. Its one of the main reasons Tanks have the fewest players playing them & who can blame them, why play main tank when your team doesnt use your shield? You might as well play Roadhog to get picks if your team isn't going to use your shield.

It makes what in my opinion is the most fun role in overwatch the hardest to get into, because if you do actually take my advice and play roadhog/dva you'll get flamed in chat.

It helps to pick heroes that benefit from certain situations, like zarya or pharah if the team has a junkrat, dva if theres a reaper, etc. Learn counters and try to track ults and it helps a lot!

Id say, the main issue ppl do with bastion is that they set him up on the frontline. You should be in the backline, or midd to backline, shooting though the team, the enemy team have to take a team fight with your team and geting sprayed by a bastion at the same time. And if they want to come for you, they eather gota risk sending a diver or they gota walk though your entire team to get to you.

As someone who has climbed from gold to plat and plays with my friends who are silver, I would say you need to focus on one thing for say a few weeks. Whether it's positioning or aim or ability usage, then after you feel more comfortable with that thing, focus on another. You'll rank up in no time! :)

As a Junkrat main, stay away from the top there if the Junk can aim. That is second tier junk territory, first being if the positions were reversed with the rat shooting into the room. Either way, a good junk can wipe your team in seconds with all that damage. Never underestimate the rat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the thing about heroes like Widow, I think, is that you don't need to engage 100% of the time. There will be a lot of downtime for you alone. While the rest of your team might be fighting their butts off, you're mostly staying still and you focus on getting only the most important kills. In a fast-paced game like Overwatch, it's tempting to engage a lot, but for some heroes, fight yout temptation. This player here seems like they want to engage all the time as Widow.

dragonmaster951753 Honestly his cursor movement seems a bit slow and he isn’t keeping it at head level. There’s a slight tilt on his view sometimes and it kinda throws me off. His understanding of Genji’s mobility seems wonky also, you can see it in his rollouts and disengages.

at 16:38 I think that throw Baptiste made with the lamp could have worked out even in that 4v6 engagement because the defending team was really clamping the front line at the corner of the choke lucio speed boost and winston dive into the hitbox of the lamp and force a break through their sheilds forcing them to move back deadeying mcree would be annihilated and even if he hits those death shots youll have body blocked the lamp so it cant kill you anyways, pushing through the enemy shields can be done really well by that immortality field throw from the backlines into the gap between teams shields because it negates the punishment you would usually get if you try to break through their front lines like that; and that gives you a major advantage and at times i think it would be worth it

I totally agree with the point about Mercy... her healing per second is significantly less than main healers, while also not providing her team with something like Lucio’s boost + beat, Zen’s discord + transcendence, Brig’s barrier + rally.. All Mercy gives is high mobility and damage boost, her ult is almost useless & the most annoying thing is that she is so boring to play

Ok, so if you want to remove the whole idea of notifications minimizing your game as well as get 5-20 more FPS, just go into task manager, open the details tab, and end explorer.exe. Then just alt-tab back into the game. If you ever want to see your desktop again, you're going to have to open task manager again and start explorer.exe again via the Run New Program option in the Files drop-down menu. Or reboot, whichever.

This is a pretty normal time on Bastion, you win the fight but your team's brains are all switched off and they all kill themselves to the 2 or 3 people left of the enemy team and it all your fault for playing bastion. I have had this so many times it's mental.

The genji play around 28:20... with an Ash or a Soldier that can aim a tiny bit better, he wouldn't be alive. Dashing straight at an Ash aiming at you from halfway across the map is just suicide, dunno how he lived to kill 2 there.

Gold is filled with players who are just absolutely stupid. One of the main reasons it can be hard to climb out of it, if the match making is unkind. Some people won't let you carry them.

I have played Xbox and PC overwatch and only played comp on Xbox. I was Plat most of the time and made it to Diamond through the grit in my teeth. I was so happy to finally rank up, HOWEVER, The issue I have is games like this...I got made fun of daily for being in Plat and yet I can't find good teammates to try and be better. I need a team that is willing to move up and willing to better themselves and not just play as they always have been. Master and GrandMaster players dont care about getting elims or even how many deaths they have. A Rein is willing to die if it means the entire team is earth shattered for his team to clean up. A player is willing to jump off a cliff to reset with the team. People are willing to switch characters if they are being countered....EVEN IF THEY HAVE GOLD MEDALS!!! I got so fed up with trying to bust my ass off only to lose more SR than I was gaining, that once I switched to PC and got a good setup...I NEVER played Comp. I have not played Comp since around when Moira was introduced...

I will say this upfront. It's extremely rare to find a reliable/decent dps in Gold. Tanks/supports can pop off and carry your games in gold. DPS needs someone to hold their hands and usually not the best to pocket. Not every dps in gold is bad just a majority are not reliable. If you focus your resources on other hero roles you will get out of gold
