Too many people play moira as DPS. I'm not usually one to complain about supports because I play a lot of support myself, but it's incredibly frustrating when the team are all dying while moira is in the front line trying to solo the enemy team. Moira is a HEALER. Healing needs to take priority.

Dovahkiin To be a good Moira you need to find a balance of attacking and healing. If you just healing (like the Moira in this video) you’re just holding your team down and not using Moira effectively. When I play Moira , I play her like D.va, a hero with great clean up ability and has good abilities for the class they are in (tank and support)

Moria is a different healer however (I’m a Moria main) but I know from experience that Moria’s healing is effective but limited. Moria should be keeping her team alive if the situation is suitable, not all the time. Moria can pressure vulnerable targets like zens and McCree (at a range) and sometimes that is more effective than attempting to heal, getting stunned and then killed by the enemy team. Not disagreeing with you, we do need more healing Moiras but sometimes people view this as an only healing Moria, and that’s not the case.

I love that crosshair. Moira doesn't need an accuracy pointer or anything. That crosshair gives you a rough estimate of where your damage beam can lock on around, and its like the size of the orb at a medium range, so you know where it'll bounce from.

The "toxic tilted Zarya" was twice in OverAnalyzed if I'm not mistaken. Technically the Zarya was not the one being analyzed in the second video, but was on the team. So I guess Stylosa is technically correct, the best kind of correct.

I was once with a team who were all speaking, we were on temple on Anubis and lost both points on defence with 1 minuet left, we decided to pick lucio, moira, and quad tank m, we then literally rushed on point with speed boost, moira healing orb and just destroyed both points with 6 mins left and won the next game EZ meta

He seems to think that a role select, or even at this point character selection, would change all of the problems in this game. Sure it would help with things like getting multiple one tricks of one character on a team but it wouldn't help the problem of one tricks who only play one character no matter the setups.

I played with my friend one time on a dou queue and we had a team with 5 dps 1 tank. the other team had 5 healers 1 tank. our team was very stubborn, i flexed to tank and insisted on my friend that he never flexes (he is an amazing dps). our team went defending with 5 dps and a zarya on defend. the other team was playing with a good comp (expected from healers to flex anyways). we actually destroyed them without heals, it was like a diamond vs bronze players and they never got a chance to take the first tick. the skill difference between healers and dps in the same rank is ridiculous. this is where role select comes into play, this will never happen again and nobody will get a team full of healers or dps. this fix actually does something.

Sometimes the enemy counters your hero so bad that it doesn't matter how good you are, you will be useless.. thats why this won't ever work, because if you are a GM Pharah for example, a GM McCree will destroy you, and you won't be able to swap to another hero since Pharah is the only hero you can play at a GM level.

Ruby Sprout They wouldn't need to change the SR gain System. Some 2D fighting Games like Tekken have those Systems. Once you get a Char. to a high rank however all your other Characters get put to a higher rank so you don't play with people so much worse than you. Like when you get 1 Char to GM, all your others get put to Plat/Diamond or something.

Maybe you would still have to do Placement matches for each character and for Golden Gun Points you would get an average from all your characters that you did the placement matches with. For exaple: Ana 4000 - Grandmaster Genji 2000 - Gold Mercy 0000 - Unranked Average 3000 - Diamond Or to make it less ruthless you'd just get the ammount of the highest character you have.

So the teams were matched from the average of each players hero ratings right? The game starts and your team happens to have a player with a much higher rating on a hero then the rank of either team. The average rank of the composition the team used in game would be higher than the rank they were matched with before the game started. Maybe i'm not seeing it the way you are imagining though.

Little tip for you Sty for the beginning of rounds. It’s best not to send your orb directly at spawn, you want to find some back and forth or left and right angles so it’ll stay in the enemy team longer. For Anubis the point you’d hit is the wall of the semicircle. It’ll bounce back towards you, hit the wall of the choke and then head towards enemy spawn. There’s almost always a wall do this on on every map although sometimes it’s an angled shot left and right. The point is to keep the orb in the enemy team as long as possible instead of going straight through the team once in a predictable manner.

Moira is not very good with dive unless everyone is diving at the same time. It’s very hard for her to keep up with characters like Tracer that just outpace her and characters that use verticality a lot like Genji and Winston

That first healing orb he critisized for being useless. He used that as a healing crutch to cross over to his tank in case he gets damaged heavily on the cross. His teleport was down so he had to make that cross, it's insurance. I do the same thing in situations where I have to catch up to my tanks but don't have teleport.

We shouldn't have role select but we should be matched with people based on our play time of a specific hero or role. For example if we have two people who each have twenty hours on Mercy, they will be a lot less likely to be on the same team. This would be hard to create and would not be perfect but it is a step up from where we are now. Also if could go a step further and prevent for dps mains from being on the same team.

that crosshair actually isn’t just goofy lol, if you set your center gap to 70/75 (it looks like his is) you’re seeing the area in which moira’s beam will lock on at max range. though the crosshair style he’s using is a bit obtrusive, i think just a circle might be better haha.

What about making it so you can select what style of team comp you want and then choosing your role. For example you could select 2-2-2 and select healer, then you would only be allowed to play healer and it would match you with 2 tanks 2 dps and 1 more healer. The other team comps I'm thinking would be 3-1-2 and 4-2 (4 tanks and 2 healers)

I always throw a damage orb into spawn on defense when the countdown hits 4. By the time it reaches the door it will get you 10-15% charge and be reset by the time the enemy gets to the fight. And you can tell if they have a dva right away if you get no charge, you know dva ate it.

Played triple support comp with 2 tanks and one DPS. Lucio, Zen, Moira, as the support. Zen focused on doing dmg whilst the Lucio was mainly on speed. Just wondering how viable this comp is? Could you try it out?

We don’t need role select and here is why. 2 words Flex players, some people play everything so they could not just pick a role and I know what your thinking “well then just select what your feel like playing dps, tanks, healers, etc.” but what if you need to switch up the comp like you got a game with 2 tank mains 2 healer mains and 2 dps main but you decide to triple tank but you can’t because you don’t have a third tank main and then the snipers like Hanzo and widow mains would have like 1 hour queues in lower ranks because nobody wants a sniper down there and the meta is always changing so it would be so rare to get the perfect team and sometimes the crazy stuff like the attack syms torbs and bastions work and that is why I feel like we don’t need role select

Hey sty, I play on ps4. Very much a flex player, but always being placed in gold each season. Having big probs with no1 playing tanks or healers. Plus no1grouping up, or people just leaving. Any suggestions on how to get more wins when people are treating comp as quick play? I end up being a tank w/o a healer or a healer w/o a tank. How do I choose? If I see people throwing, should I take the penalty and just leave? Keep in mind it’s not in me to bail or quit it’s not who I am. But I’m tired of w8sting my time, yet I love this game so much. All I can say about that crosshair is let's hope he feels it's useful with Lucio since he's a Lucio main. It's kind of the size of Lucio's primary fire orbs... I've never used something that atrocious so I'm really just shooting in the dark with that guess, but I think there's a sliver of logic to it. Also it's good to know Stylosa is a GM WInston and Moira Main, so this is a big help if you're learning those heroes. I'll have to look for a coaching from him as Winston.

I said this in another video talking about the DPS Moira problem. Yes, Moira is a healer, but when I have done pretty good with her is when my healing and damage done in the game are either equal or really close to each other, with more healing done than damage by a few thousands (i.e, 6k heals-6k damage or 10.5k heals- 6.9k damage) beacuse Moira's gameplan is a constant give and take of health, take health from the enemy to heal your team, rinse and repeat. I think what people need to understand with her is when to be aggressive and when not to, imho.

So I'm a Zenyatta main, but I'll flex to main tank or main support if the team won't flex and we don't have a main support or a main tank. My question is, should I improve with Moira or Mercy? Looking at Overbuff, Mercy averaged about 12k healing and her elims per game are less than 1 while Moira has a ton of Elims and about 10k healing. They don't really take into account how useful resurrect is for Mercy though as you can get about one off per fight with the thirty second cooldown and I'd argue Mercy's ultimate is slightly better, but Moira's charges faster. And I like Ana but I'd probably just be throwing with her.

I ranked 2700, and won some lost some, but now I'm on a 10+ loss streak and am in gold. I feel like I'm doing good, I've been playing Moira outhealing everyone and getting gold/silver elims and gold objective medals *every single time* I typically get 25-35 kills with 3-9 deaths. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but it has been a very painful experience.

Hey stylosa. I french so please excuse my bad english. This guys is not used to play moira and we can obviously see that his mouse sensivity for this hero is way too low. Personnaly, i use differents sensivity for differents heros. low for aim hero, and high for winston mercy rein. what do you think about it ?

I main Moira and right before I use coalescence I throw a damage orb to add that much more damage

about the crosshair - i mean, he could have precicely measured how far his lock on radius is, and edged the scale of the reticle to that size exactly. orrrrr he could just not know what he is doing.

Moira is op around gold. 50dps on orb, 50dps on right click and negates 30dps from the enemy with the life leech. Plus she has a 6 sec cd escape-all ability. She's op in gold because most people can pick her up and finish a match with 3 gold medals

Role-select wouldn't stop this problem. Bowie here plays Lucio, who (contrary to many flanking, DPS Lucio's I see) is a support. Moira also is a support (again, contrary to the many DPS Moira's out there). Bowie here is still nobly filling his role as a support.
