What an incredible guest. I originally bought David Sinclair’s book on longevity but his section on mtor being enhanced by a plant based diet didn’t make genetic sense to me as history shows we were meat based. I then found carnivore a few years ago & my general health both mental & physical dramatically improved. The only awkward side is I see a lot of my younger & older friends deteriorating & I can’t say anything. They think my diet will kill me. I’m 71 with no issues Bill M

Could it be that menopause is the body is turning off reproduction capabilities because the body is no longer healthy enough for conception, gestation, and raising children? This might have happened at a much more advanced age than is typically happening now.

You need to distinguish between metabolically unhealthy women, who have become infertile (Dr. Kiltz' clients) and metabolically healthy women, who still go through menopause. Dr. Berry talked about this. There is an evolutionary reason. IIrc correctly, there's a survival advantage to the post-menopausal women being free to help the younger women with their offspring.

@@ivettesantana4319 Chicken is just not ideal, plus they are the worst farmed animals out there. They live in terrible conditions and generally are not healthy. It can be ok to eat now and then but don't rely on it. Ruminant animals are key for optimal health. I had some chicken thighs the other day as it happens but I rarely have them.

The problem with Carnivore and autophagy is fat. Cholesterol deficiency induces autophagy. It's not just insulin, glucose and growth hormone but also about fat intake which is higher in animal products (especially saturated fat) Fasting is the best strategy for activating autophagy.

How would you reconcile the fact hlthat carnivores have shorter lifespan versus plant-nased eaters?
@EricAnimeFreak5 сағат бұрын
First off not a fact, if you're referring to a study it's an experts opinion based on some kind of understanding of observation. Also plant based vs carnivore eaters is not very specific. You could eat all donuts and soda and be considered to be on a plant-based diet, and vice versa you could eat a carnivore diet that has a person eating 1 ounce of old rat meat while eating a whole cake every day. We have no current studies that compare a diet of all meat and no plants, compared to an all-plant diet for mortality. So not only are you confusing fact with opinion, but don't even have studies that can meet the minimum requirement for statical significance.
@audreysuter43153 сағат бұрын
How do you explain the tribes and communities that existed and still exist on a carnivore diet?
@andyc77472 сағат бұрын
Then you would have to reconsider where you get your information. Humans naturally have a very acidic gut, Around 1.5 which is between a vulture and a lion. We also do not have a cecum or a rumen to process plants. This should tell you all you need to know. If we do not have the organs to process plant food do you really think plant eaters live longer? Where is the logic?
@adm58Сағат бұрын
There is no such research evidence. Many people who eat meat also eat it with other extremely unhealthy junk such as fries cooked in rancid seed oils etc. Also, very few people eat only plants and have done so across a lifetime. There are so many other variables too, including, for example, social and cultural influences on health and also environmental factors such as air quality, vitamin D from sunshine, plus also factors such as exercise and stress.

@andyc77472 сағат бұрын
A calorie does not exist inside a human body. Calories are a unit of heat derived from incinerating a piece of food in a lab. Our body does not incinerate food so there is no logic to the calorie method. Eating a whole host of plants every day to try and get close to adequate nutrition is putting huge stress on the gut and digestive system. Humans need to eat animals for anywhere close to optimal nutrition, This is just a fact of our evolution. People need to understand that they can be controlled by their emotions, I fully understand why some people do not want to consume animals but that have to understand the truth about human physiology. Make an informed decision rather than an emotional one.
