I've done a few doors at my storage. I put a product in a pump sprayer called L.A. Totally Awesome. Can get that at the dollar stores. I spray, make a few passes with a softer brush (I used my boars hair water fed pole... I'm a window washer) and rinsed with a water hose gun on shower setting. That way water isn't forced underneath or to the sides. I didn't need to let the product dwell either. Good luck sir.

I second this. Cut that LA's Totally Awesome 3-1 and should work great! Let it sit about 30 sec to a min and should pressure wash off.

Joe we did some storage units a couple weeks ago not doing oxidation. We did the concrete footers with 12 v and turbo nozzle and a house wash on the structure. In voicing my concerns about water and chems going inside I hand wrote a non liability on the invoice and the property owner signed off on it.

@@powerfulimprovements Wow! Congratulations… now comes the hard part! Your very good at documenting/videos. Please show process etc., know I’m pretty sure everyone and myself as well. Cleansol BC Joe. Wet down the door then spray it down with the Cleansol BC using either a pump up sprayer or by X-Jet. Very little scrubbing if any at all.

I had a storage unit a few years back. The storage facility had a company come out and sandblast the doors to prep for paint, my entire unit and all of the contents were covered in sand. At the front of the unit the sand was over an inch thick. Those doors don't seal on the bottom or the sides! When I brought it up to the facility, they basically told me to get bent 🤣

Aggravated all day because you didn't really want to do it but when you look at the ticket it always brings a smile to your face 🙂 But I agree, there are alot of other ways you can make money alot quicker than on that job. Like others have said use a different cleaner. I have used ebc cleaner with great results on oxidation removal six water to one ebc in a backpack sprayer. Spray let dwell about fifteen minutes and wash Looks brand new. No scrubbing what so ever.

I’m definitely trying something else. Where are you buying ebc?
@dylangrantz81242 жыл бұрын
@@powerfulimprovements I bought it at a supplier local to me. It was expensive local. Whoever you are ordering parts from should have it or a cleaner similar. Think I paid forty a gallon. I am sure you can order cheaper. I don't use it much just repairing where a idiot put pressure on oxidation. I don't look for the jobs for sure mostly just fixing stuff for a realtor that feeds me constantly. They are the only ones I do that for.
