It's obvious to the musically educated that her vocal skills have improved significantly while maintaing her signature soprano clarity......expanded range, richer more mellow lower register, increased power, more refined interpretive skill with greater finesse, and a broader repertoire covering mutliple genres....the most versatile young soprano of this century. Some people cannot, or will not, let go of the child prodigy and acknowledge the adult who has continually grown as a vocal artist. Simon Cowell commented that, at 18, she has "actually gotten better".

I was just watching some stuff on youtube and hollands got talent, and there they have Amira. Someone commented about Jackie Evancho and checked her out. I am very thankfull that guys were commenting about Jackie, otherwise i would have never know her, because normally i wouldnt search for classical crossover music or opera. Now i love Jackie, shes great, sings beautiful, got a great additude and is just very kind overall! I just hope one thing and that is, that she never does the same as Miley did, but i dont expect that to happen, lol. She has been growing up fast, and turned into a beautiful lady! Everyone talks about Jackie being a Angel and I believe they are 100% right. Here is my proof, I'm a disable Vet. and have been living with pain for 41years. The VA gives me Meds. ( a lot of Meds. ) but after all this time they don't help all that much. I'm watching AGT one night and along comes this 10yo little girl who looked like an Angel and she opened her mouth and out came this Beautiful sound, and for 3 or 4 minutes I almost forgot I was in pain. I listened to every one of her performances and each time, as she was singing most of my pain was almost gone. After that day I would buy every bit of music that she put out and find every Performance that was out on youtube and to this day whenever I hear her my pain is less. So to sum it up, she looks like an Angel, she sings like an Angel, she's as sweet as an Angel, and she helps take away pain. To me she is an ANGEL and that's why I will Always Love this Young Lady because she Is my Angel. Thank you Jackie Evancho.

She sang Wish Upon A Star, Se, Reflection, Can you Feel The Love Tonight, O Mio Babbino Caro, Ombra Mai Fu, Impossible Dream (dedicated this to mom) , and my favorite The Lord’s Prayer, My Heart Will Go On and Lovers. About 10 seconds into her first song, Wish Upon a Star she hiccuped! Yep! Hiccuped! She kept right on singing like nothing happened but she turned about 15 shades of red! Cute as hell! LOL

The whole season is a nostalgia trip for me, and I'm glad for all the acts I got to see, but I'm especially glad I got to see Jackie Evancho.

Amazing video, Jackie changed the world and so many youngsters are now giving their talent to the world. At this age, 10, I don't think anyone has been her equal. Her Dream With Me in Concert DVD / CD and specifically the DVD in Blu-ray is in my opinion, one of the best recordings in the modern era. If they were not based completely on GREED, the Grammy's would recognize the classical crossover genre.

Wake up to reality. Jackie co-wrote a song at age 15 in protest of that kind of nonsense, having developed an eating disorder trying to live up to an impossible image of "angelic" perfection. The song is "Pedestal" (on KZbin). She detests being called an "angel". At age 22, after "working up the courage" she wrote a confrontational song in protest against those who had imposed enormous pressure upon her as a child to be "perfect" in every respect.....to look perfect, sing perfectly, speak perfectly and behave perfectly. That pressure had persisted throughout her young life. Finally, she is overcoming through determination, courage and strength of character and particularly through her songwriting, what she calls, "this therapeutic endeavor of mine". The song is titled "Get Out of My Life", one of 6 original songs on her recently released EP, "Solla", written, composed and produced by her. They are "on the dark side......deeply personal and brutally honest......my truth" as she describes them. Part of the lyrics: "You were the thing that was killin' me slowly The cancer tryin' to poison my body I found my worth and it's radioactive I found the source of my pain and it's massive I tried, tried to do right in your eyes You were the light of my life My mornin', my day, and my night I paid my debt, you're finally out of my head I'm tryin' out self-love instead So shut up and get out of my life"

It seems as though the time has flown by since this video was made of this young (10 year old) lady's music that has thrust her deep into the heart of the music industry. As of next month she will be 15 years old and she is now at the top of her genre of Classical Crossover music around the entire world. She has accumulated many rewards, and awards, along her journey including the sale of millions of CDs and DVDs, 2 modelling contracts, an acting contract, sold out concerts around the world, and now Honda Motor Company is using her beautiful version of "Ombra Mai Fu" in one of their latest commercials. She is loving every minute of living her dream as a world class performer, and she truly deserves it. Miss Jackie Evancho has certainly paid her dues and she has definitely earned her success.

JME just seems to do everything right and has surely proved that over the last five years since AGT 2010. The growth in her singing over that time, well, at least to these ears, has been great. Her future looks golden. That family of hers have been the unsung hero's over those five years and certainly major contributors to both her success and living a pretty good semblance of a normal life. 15 years old today. So much different physically but so much the same as a happy, decent kid. It's been great watching her grow up here on You Tube. Glad that we have both her and the electronic means to watch her age and mature before our eyes. Often we tend to overlook the technological development of the last decade and its impact on society. It's brought so many of us together here on YT and we act as a combined, singular force of fans that none of us can likely value the true impact on the success of JME. Skyhawk Ron I said nothing about show biz, but encouraging others to live their dream whatever that may be, whether it be singing, sports, business, dancing. Not everyone wants to be in show business. Others want to excel in other disciplines. Emily Bear is an okay singer but excels at composing and playing the piano. Tiger Woods excels at golf but don't know whether he can sing. Jackie, Emily and Tiger Woods all had a dream and followed it. There are numerous others who made their dreams come true. The three I mentioned are role models to many and it doesn't matter what one's dream is, Jackie is just saying to follow it and never give up.

Jackie just was introduced with winning the KZbin submissions and having a voice of a well seasoned star. So it was no surprise. But if You compare the quality of the voice and the perfomance (and the following concerts) then Jackie imo was the best.

@@yon487 I know this was 6 years ago, but feel like Susan’s is weaker in comparison to this because not only (in my personal opinion) is this girl a better singer, but also that Susan has had way more time to practice in her lifetime than Jackie. Jackie is just 10 and singing like this, compared to Susan Boyle being in her 50s. However, both auditions are very impressive, equally so (I was just pointing out what Jackie did better, I actually think they're equal), but you shouldn't say Jackie’s pales in comparison, because it doesn't.

To all Jackie fans: Jackie had encountered numerous negative comments before and she endured. Jackie is now a mega super star; a few negative comments (however unreasonable) won't affect her one iota - it is just like throwing stones against a battle tank. Those trolls are just like petulant children, they thrive on creating troubles. All we have to do to deprive them of the pleasure is to ignore them - don't even respond once to their comments. BTW : Jackie recently tweeted that she sing Classical music in a pop style. She classify her genre as : POPSSICAL. Isn't that cute?

I do agree with you, NSL, and perhaps Jackie has coined a new phrase relating to her genre. By the way, for any interested fans and admirers who may not have seen the photos from the Detroit concert yet they are on "Jackie Evancho Fans HispanoAmerica's" Facebook page. She has moved on from her usual dress style (the black gown) to some beautiful (more mature) attire. The red gown that she wore is especially gorgeous and it compliments her very well. The guys here say that photos #48, #49 and #54 are the best of the lot. She is becoming quite the lovely young lady, just like we all knew that she would. With her beauty, talent, personality, and grace no one else even comes close.

Marie Sadler Yes, it's hard to believe. But there are the trolls and not everyone likes her or her style of music. And that's okay. She was once asked in an interview if she'd ever received a bad review. She replied saying sure she has but it's part of growing as an artist When asked if it bothered her, she said it didn't and added that she knows she's not perfect and what some of what those people said probably had some truth in it.

Michael Remington I wrote this because a certain troll dubiously claimed that Jackie's Detroit concert was 80% vacant and there was a 2 for 1 sales on. He further taunted fans to support her and buy the tickets. 1st, if the concert is only 20% sold, it would be cancelled (no reason given). 2nd, all Broadway shows (popular or not) has last minute seat sales. 3rd, he knew well that JME's fans are spread over the world, not possible to buy that ticket. Self imagined statements like that carries a strong negative undertone. It shows the immaturity of the writer and insult our intelligence.
