How sad is it that people have to rely on crowd funding for life saving treatments for their children.

You don't have to crowd fund life saving treatments in Australia. We have a public health system. These donations are for things like travel expenses and household costs that families find difficult if someone's had to quit their job to care for the child.

I'm a lucky bugger. I was overtaking a truck on the motorway, it's rear outside tyre blew & came off the rim, turning it into a wire & rubber, spinny projectile of death. I was on a motorbike, doing about 90 mph & the tyre arced up & just missed my head. The poseur behind, trying to catch me in a VW Golf, wasn't a lucky bugger. It smashed his windscreen & put a big freaking dint in his roof. If the tyre had hit me, my head would've probably gone through his windscreen & ended up in his gf's lap.

Sounds like Golf driver was lucky too, assuming the damage was limited to the car.
