To those who are correcting Erwan of the English Translation of the Arroz Caldo, sorry to break it to you guys but he is right. True that the translation of Caldo is soup or broth and Caliente means hot or warm BUT here in Spain they don't translate words literally especially when it is already being used in a phrase or sentence. One word here has a lot of meanings and each meaning differs in every sentence. Arroz Caldo in Spain means warm rice or hot rice.

Us Pinoys are stuck with the old Spanish terms kasi. There are a lot of modern Spanish words na iba na sa old meaning. Like the word "tijeras" which means "gunting," but for a lot of Pinoys, tijeras still means "kama" or sometimes yung nasa economy class ka ng barko na magkakadikit ang mga "tijeras."

Audio is NOT bad. It's just the dialog audio set to stereo, and the editor forgot(?) to set it to one/two channel(s). Some of earphones are mono which is only using one channel, while stereo earphone/headset is more than one. I'm using gaming headset which surround(five speakers) that's why I can hear the difference. There's no bug in here. To "fix" this, always check: 1. Microphone settings 2. Post production editing

Recently ate early breakfast at manila pen. Terrible service lousy lugaw meal at 1400! 2pcs of worst siomai&siopao a plain lugaw, oily yucky noodles we were given 4kinds of menu (3lower w/ betterchoice with lower prices& 1 with the higher price) with diffrnt prices but they insisted that the higher one is the updated one. One of the Worst meal ever!!

The yellow color of the arrow caldo is from kasubha which is a local version of saffron. Not from achuete. Not a lot of people use kasubha anymore in cooking arroz caldo.

Great to see there's actually a series already made for this wonderful comfort food. Not a big fan of Goto Monster. Lugawan to Tejeron has changed recipe and lost consistency after they moved to bigger location and started franchising. Then the Gotobelieve in our village is not the most convincing. I am actually making a series of vlogs about Lugaw / Arroz Caldo / goto and call it Wanted Perfect Lugaw. So far I had four episodes where I reviewed different recommended Lugaw places from the basic looking (yet very flavorful), to the ones with great toppings, to Bulalugaw to hypnotic Arroz Caldo made in a milk tea shop. Is it inappropriate to tell a happily newly married man he’s so adorable in the way he ... just is? lol oh and you felt so classy in that I’m a meathead tee. Righteousness. Oh and Vietnam has a version of this. We shred the boiled chicken and sauté it in sliced onions, garlic, wood ear mushrooms sliced, shiitake mushroom sliced, lots of coarse black pepper, fish sauce and then we top off our chicken broth congee with that topped with fresh cilantro, thinly sliced young ginger and green onions. Yummy!
