Filling is the best! My grandma has always made it on thanksgiving. It’s my favorite:)

A bit different than how my family made it. Like your version. Grew up on this filling. Love it.

It's our family tradition take the leftover stuffing and make them into waffles. They go great with the other leftovers after the holidays. They freeze well too.

I've heard of that, just never got around to trying it but think this year it will be a must! Thank you for the idea!

I see a lot of people use mashed potatoes. My great grandmother fried the potatoes in the dutch ovens.

I never seen a "potato" stuffing, looks delicious. Definitely trying this one. Thank you! Looks like you can use the left overs and make it into potato/stuffing pancakes and fry them with eggs in the morning. Mmm.. Yum!

Oh yes, they are awesome that way for leftovers! it's the best of both worlds! Thank you!

That is pretty interesting. I have never heard it called filling. I love learning about culture in different parts of the US. Thanks for sharing that tidbit with us. I love that better than bullion too. I use it a lot. This looks really good. I have never heard of this dish or had it before. Would love to try it. Thanks for sharing.

I know, there is a whole thing with food and it being called different things depending upon region. It's some of the fun, you get to learn a bit about a place by its food! Hope you like it if you try it, it's pretty hard not to like!

This brings back memories of every family Thanksgiving! I loved my Mom's potato filling but don't have her recipe just vague memories of descriptions. This seems very close though, she used breadcrusts and I don't think parsley....

I will try this and use my mother's old muffin pans. My kind of food. Thanks so much, Hope you and your husband, and canine friend(s) I hear in the background, had a super Thanksgiving. Many blessings to you all. The Jewish apple cake looked delicious, too. I always fry latkes and make 'sufganiot' (fried jelly donuts) for Hanukkah. However, this year, your apple cake FOR SURE. Thank you.
@PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot7 жыл бұрын
I make latkes all the time. That was actually in one of my first vids with a lamb roast, LOL. I need to redo that one, I've come a long way vid wise since then, LOL. I love sufganiot! The muffin pan idea works really great with this and can be really nice seerving for company or freezing portions!

That is an interesting way to make it and I know I would love it because I love mashed potatoes! Going to have to try this.
