Hemp seeds are a decent source of protein. Pretty much most nut and seed. Quinoa as well. I like a combo of white and red. Wow so many weird and pretty mushrooms! I had no idea there were so many that grew on the sides of trees. So weird you can watch the Olympics while hiking at the top of a rather remote mountain!! Absolutely, the only thing we control is ourselves!!

Thanks for sharing. It must be so difficult to reconcile yourself to not being able to achieve a continuous foot fall, but you have the right attitude. Who knows what the future will bring. Perhaps you can come back and hike Washington right through 😊

Unfortunately fire on the PCT beginning in late July has become a reality in the last few years. Hopefully things will improve by the time you leave trail days... Keep the positive vibes going...

I'm sad 😢 this adventure going to Canada will end in couple weeks (more or less) Maybe you add some side trips visit the most beautiful parks in Washington and Oregon. 😊 Most protein bars are made with soy, peas ,nuts, etc Thus they're vegetarian. Of course check the labels .Stay safe and have fun!😂
