love that you used tamarind pulp for the sauce--much more authentic than plain lime juice! 😀 i use daikon radish pickle, chili flakes and firm tofu, then garnish with banana flower.

Nice recipe! Also, Treditional Thai recipe is using minced peanuts on the final touch instead, but this one is also great. Yeah, 10/10 wanna compare this one with the traditional one at home.

I eat a lot of pad Thai.Thai food has all the taste from sweet, sour, spicy and salty. And also the paste was also not authentic. But as Indians like a lot of variation it is the best this chef can offer. Good job.

I'm from Egypt and I'm making a book about authentic food recipes. If I removed the bean sprouts from pat thai and replaced the chives with green onions and used the noodles you made but cut thinner, would it be an authentic pad thai recipe?

Hi It looks easy and delicious too. Is there a substitute to bok choy?
@sabahalam61989 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is a substitute for bok choy it is quite unique. U can ask your grocery store they might have it. Just leave it but if you really want that bok choy crunch, add in some cabbage.
@sabahalam61989 жыл бұрын
You can also use spinach which will add a nice flavour

Wow, look very simple. But, 2 questions....where would we get all the vegetables for this dish? There are some not available commonly in India. And, how to make tamarind pulp? Do we get that anywhere as well?
@sabahalam61989 жыл бұрын
Tamarind pulp is called imlee (eem-lee) in Hindi/Urdu . It is brown and sometimes sour. It is VERY commonly known in India ; ask your grocery store if they have it because they most likely will. I don't think that you will be able to make it all my yourself.

y the noodles has to be soaked in chilled water and not warm water?
@sabahalam61989 жыл бұрын
Warm water can start cooking the noodles as they are very thin and make them soggy. The chilled water keeps the noodles cold and crunchy
@ruchisatija49714 жыл бұрын
Hey... the noodles didn’t soften at all on soaking... i had to boil them after 20 minutes of soaking...

This is completely wrong, no chilis, you cooked the peanuts, and you didnt use palm sugar. Coulda made a lighter sauce with tofu and the sprouts were all wrong
@rajshrifood9 жыл бұрын
+Preesi OnTheNet There are different versions of cooking, this is one of them. :)
@reirerinn9 жыл бұрын
+Rajshri Food and this one is not a pad thai. Rename the recipe to stir-fried rice noodle or pad thai inspired.
@preesi14039 жыл бұрын
+reirerinn I agree, there are so many recipes online for VEGAN fish sauce alternatives that the correct Pad Thai sauce could have been made vegan. The Tamarind concentrate was way too heavy (shoulda used juice) and it needed tofu and chilis...Coulda substituted white konnyaku chunks for shrimp too.. Best Pad Thai is Joy Buasi's

Don't like the color of cooked noodles
@HemantKumar-ot3er4 жыл бұрын
WTF kind of desi Pad Thai is this? This is not at all how they make it in Thailand. And using white sugar and calling it "palm sugar" is downright embarrassing.
