Yes, brisk walking is wonderful exercise to reduce or maintain weight, I am 60 yrs old and walk 6 km everyday without fail. Few yrs back I was enjoying a luxurious job one fine day I felt that, I am unable to walk even 100 mtrs and my respiratory system becomes very dry and suffocates even if I try, my daughter who is a regular runner came to my rescue and I started walking with her and today me and my wife walk minimum 4 to 6 km everyday without any problem. WALKING IS VERY IMPORTANT EXERCISE after 45 yrs of age, after seeing the benefits, I left job to enjoy WALKING.

मैं 68yrs/95kg/5'-9"/Male हूँ, रोज सुबह आधा घंटा पैदल चलता हूँ फिर एक घंटा व्यायाम (light strech exercises) और 3-4 प्राणायाम करता हूँ। फिर भी दिन भर सुस्ती सी रहती है। मधुमेह, bp, angina, की शिकायत भी है जो कि दवाईयों से कंट्रोल में रहती हैं। बेहतरी के लिए क्या करूँ।

Aap bilkul theek keh rhy h sir. Imy age is 44 aur mein apny ghar ki chatt pr walk krti hu atlest 1hr.. Aur mujhy such mein iska health benifit hua h. But sir problem yeh h k mujhy kabhi kabhi time nhi mil. Pata toh walking reh jati h.. toh regularly nhi ho pta jaisy 2,3days mein nhi kr pai.. I hv done 39 yrs job ,just started at the age of 20,walking habit i took frm my father, but was not aware of these benefits. Due to my own urge i must look stright n beautiful. I got success since my office was 2 km away frm my house, so i used to walk bothway. My health detrioted when i shifted frm du to airlines inclusive airport job. No time forself due to raising children but strange when i stopped it due to pressure i got immediately so many diseases, hurnia, gall bladder stones other so many things , joint family limits n tension. After retirement i started / enjoyed my walking, exercises, still hv problems but yss yoga n light exercises regained my hobby again. I love people n find them most handsome who r just take interest to remain healthy n look cheerful. Some how today i got u early morning when at about 4am , feeling good to learn more. Thanks

Thanks for the very enlightening video and information. Wish all of India follows this in minimum, this country would be so healthy. My problem is I have knee pain and hence cannot walk briskly, so will slow walk be of any help. Not being negative, but even otherwise, I doubt whether maximum number of people who walk, can walk consistent 100 steps per minute, that too for 30 minutes because that will be equal and tend to running to match the 120 steps or even 10000 steps per day. Sometimes, I feel walking in a polluted environment like in cities is more harmful than walking for good, such is the dust and sounds of everything that walking only becomes an activity for benefit and not a truly enjoyable one. Actually, wish one knows what all activity done how much time equals to 10000 steps per day.

I am 79 yrs. I regularly go for morning walk and I do about 5000 steps. In your video you have not suggested as to how many steps are to be taken in this age. I am suffering from knee pain also, please suggest in this regard
