Loved this successtory! Well done Shauna! I’m like you trying to stop a whole lot of generational dysfunction , and by doing that hard work , heal myself from pain and symptoms and learn my kids, friends, neighbors to feel their emotions and not stay in fight and flight all the time. Thanks for sharing both of you❤

Is there something about 13 years? My story is 13 years as well, and I’ve heard it more than once! So happy for you, Shauna!

Thank you both so much. This has been hands down the best interview for me personally. As an RA sufferer I have lodged the diagnosis and the fear-based future prognosis into my brain! Because there aren’t many success stories with autoimmune that has further wedged this ‘I’m not going to get better’ belief deep into my sub-conscious. So I have never been on board 100% even though I’ve wanted to be. This has been so helpful. Hopefully I will be a success story one of these days. Have really cleaned up my diet and there’s been no change in symptoms, in fact they’ve got worse! This has got to be the reason. Toni ❤

The interesting thing I have experienced is that when you change the focus, it goes away. If you have to face an emergency and have to act quickly, it goes away, when ever you have to be in the moment, such as talking passionately about a subject and or laughing your head off, it goes away.

I just love Shauna, the way she boldly told her story, yet at the same time, willing to take advice from you, Dan… She was pretty much drug through hell as a young person. She stopped it! I really appreciate her taking the time to share her story, it blessed my heart, and I know it’s helping so many people here!

I’ve just discovered what Alexithymia is too and I resonate with that. I was definitely that child that didn’t want to make waves because there was no space for my emotions. Especially anger! Sadness was a safer emotion. I’m learning now how to excavate those emotions and feel them again. It’s amazing how fully feeling those emotions doesn’t flare up my pain. Stuffing them down and ignoring them does.

I resonate SO MUCH with her recovery story. Totally different symptoms but very similar recovery. Thank you for sharing Shauna and Dan!

Wow, I can see why before she discovered the TMS diagnosis t hat she had all of these other conditions. I had a similar childhood with a troublesome controlling mother, it sets you up for these issues .

Thanks for sharing Shauna. My story is very similar with iritis except I researched a few years ago that of all the organs in our body, the eyes use up the most vitamin C. So I began taking 1000mg per day and have thankfully not had any further attacks. I hope this information helps someone out there because vitamin C has certainly been a life changer. I have recently discovered you Dan and am so grateful for all your advice. I am beginning to notice a shift in energy and symptoms by following your protocols. To use your terminology- bring it on💪. Keep up the wonderful work Dan and thanks again.

Whats that saying about genetics? Something like, genetics is the gun but lifestyle is the trigger. We dont have to pull the trigger when we learn and know … well, the truth about TMS. And thank you for Another top notch interview. This one was so close to my story in several ways I was blown away. The family dysfunction, the eye pain, -still undiagnosed -except I know its TMS PDP, also, fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue that has a mind of its own and comes and goes… It’s great to know what it is, but I am still working on making it all go away. Looking forward to the book😊 Have a great day & Thank you again.

Thank you so glad you are happy healthy and pain free well done ! Thanks for the tip this is invaluable to me. I will now ask myself what am I feeling if I have pain or symptoms as well as trying to live my life. As I know I’m afraid just burying it. I’m afraid of having anxiety as it kept spilling into night heart palpitations and adrenaline dumps. So I’ll try feel it without fear or at least feel it and work on the latter. So appreciate this video. I know when I’m ok I’m worried that I’ll get symptoms so that keeps me stuck.

I understand the fear of anxiety symptoms. But only way to get over this is to stop fearing it. I know easier said than done. Takes practice and telling yourself that you are safe.

I was Diagnosed since 2007. The eyes are also affected by emotions, but there is little written material regarding eye inflammation and TMS. Rheumatologists and ophthalmologists do not have the answers other than to resort to prescribing steroids.

When I see videos like that it makes me so angry...like I hear my own story..and the story of so many many other adults that are in pain now but once were helpless children... My dad - a psychopath. My mother - codependent. It was always about their drama, like they made us just to have someone to complain about their own problems. We were not allowed to be children. And each time we tried to talk about us we were shut down and laughed at because it was non sense, it was just in our head. I grew up hearing my mother saying how she's going to die because of my father and all her problems. But she also instructed us to never ever tell him a word but actually be nice to him. She was using us to express her emotions, we were boiling because of the rage we accumulated on him but then she forced us to don't tell him anything because she wanted us to be a "happy" family. So f*cked...and while it sounds clear now, it took me 2 years of psychoanalysis to realise that my mother, the saint, the victim, the one who " sacrificed everything for the children " was as bad as my father because all she cared about was her own problems and she had no empathy to understand us. Not only that we were totally neglected as kids, but they used us to express their negativity and all the drama. While we had to repress everything. 30 years later, they are still together in in their madness and have no physical issues while me and my brother are a total mess, both with CPTSD and me also with autoimmune issues after vaccine and covid...but it clearly started all earlier, the more I listen and read and understand the mind-body connection, the more sense it makes...unfortunately i feel that severe trauma requires years and years of therapy and work with oneself...

Last December I had severe tooth pain went to dentist and they found nothing. It radiates to different areas. It has come back and stronger. I wonder if this could be TMS and causing TMJ. I get so many other symptoms and they area getting better. Wonder if it's also Symptom Imperative.

Would TMS work also help conditions like MS? (multiple sclerosis)
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 14 күн бұрын
Very tricky question. Sometimes MS is a misdiagnosis based on symptom observation and not MRI of the brain. Some are told they have MS even without the white spots in the brain MRI. No guarantees, but there is literally no downside to teaching our brains we are not sick or broken in any way. Only benefit. We are safe. DansFastStart.com

@@unknown1993E Still a work in progress and have tried different modalities in the last two years. I got sick 4 years ago. But in the last two years, I gave birth to my third baby, went on road trips, went on vacations and theme parks, kept up with my kids and chores, etc. even with this particular symptom and 30+ more. This is huge progress - I was going to DR appts in a wheelchair 4 years ago when I first came down with illness. I have quite a story to share when I'm fully recovered. This is the way out to reclaiming your life. It's not easy. It's probably the most challenging thing you'll ever go through. But think of it as a mind/body/spirit bootcamp. I've become a better wife and mother. More resilient to stress. Just waiting for my body to catch up to my mind. You're going to get to the other side a brand new amazing person with a resilient nervous system. Keep going.
