As a business owner and manufacturer myself, I love Alex's mentality and approach towards discussing his/their product. I like how he doesn't say, "because XYZ our product is the best." but instead he is honest and just says, "yes, at the high end they are all the same pretty much. It just comes down to feel and preference and ours have some sweet features you might really like." From a consumer stand point I appreciate that outlook and presentation of product. Very refreshing not hearing how the same rebranded crap with new body milling "better than before! only 1,899$ buy now!!!" Respect to Alex.

"Complicated design wise, that whole thing is kinda up for interpretation." I like how Alex Fraige pretty much said "If you have no mechanical aptitude whatsoever you will think that BL guns are complicated" lol. I have always owned Bob Long guns since the Alias Timmy (I currently own a Onslaught and had a G6R before that) and have never found them to be complicated, unreliable, or hard to maintain.

You were trying to be critical of his product without offending him so badly. Loved this interaction. I love how after this you answered a question and basically said "the F1F isn't worth the money" because it isn't. You can get a Prime or a Luxe X with similar features for 50% of the price. I still buy used guns, I shoot a Luxe 2.0 I paid $475 for - shoots better than half of these new guns at $1000 - especially with the encore bolt.

I want to see you guys do well! Having said that, I won't touch a BL marker from the days past. I've owned the v1 v2 Vic, ripper Vic, insight, almost all variations of the g6, vice, protege and back to the 2k2. The boards were always a question as to what version was in the marker. To much mystery from lubes, manuals, board versions. Not to mention a plain old box with no spares, no lube, no manual other than maybe for the board. I don't need tools and a barrel sock lol. But if the g6 is bedding oil, 55 and 33 than please start sending some of that stuff. I'm not a fanboy of any brand but you guys have definitely earned your stripes.

I genuinely really enjoyed this interview. It was very relaxed and natural, not some car salesman trying to shove his product down your throat to make a sale. I love the bob long designs and colors but I feel the Force is just so darn boring looking from what we know bob long can create. I really hope the crew at Field one will bring out a sexy re designed version of this gun in the future.

to say a bl marker is unreliable hurts..... like really hurts. sure the spoolie platforms were a little over engineered and different to what most ppl were use to with that platform. However all of mine were extremely reliable and shot amazing. I honestly think I ever lubed one of them once. My g6r though is greatest thing ever, I have texas storm which I bought new, in fact I preordered which was only 1 of 2 markers I ever preordered. I used the hell out of it for a good 5 years then retired it as a wall hanger. However after 2 years out I came back in may to play. Didn't have a marker so what did I do? you damnnnnn right, I brought the ole g6r out, screwed in a tank and went and chrono'd. +/-3 didnt even have to touch the reg. This being after just sitting all those years, and even the years before when it was all I was using I had never took that marker apart and lubed it. Its still rocking faces, efficient AAAFFFFFF, quiet and smooth. Ive yet to have a reason to tear it open. Well I did swap frames but that was bc I lost the pin to the stock asa, so I took a frame off a tactical I had.

Ya I didn't understand that at all either. BL markers have always been known for being reliable for the most part, and certainly for many years among the most reliable. I've been a huge fan of BL markers since '03, and became a loyal customer and user since I spent my first $1500 on any marker in '05, that being an alias intimidator and have been hooked on bob longs ever since. My main marker and my dream marker is my BL V1 fully updated to be a VIS but with a V1 body. It was my passion to build this, and it was worth all $950 to update it and that does not include the price of my V1 when I bought it stock ;-) I'll never get rid of it. Now im a field one fan. So awsome to see my favorite pro team making my favorite brand markers. Its a dream come true.

Cool interview and thanks for covering this topic i really mean it, but I have to submit some constructive criticism here, I wouldn't recommend handling things in another's shop like that. I mean those were unfinished and possibly limited products that are very expensive and easy to deface. I felt tension the second you picked that body up and it got worse as soon as you picked up the frame and stuck them together, and I almost felt a pit in my stomach when the frame slipped out of your fingers. Yes, I know you didn't damage anything thanks to the bubble wrap and egg crate on the table, but things could have been much worse and that wouldn't have been fair if it had been. Please don't be mad I said this, I'm trying to be helpful because I really like your videos, and I'de love to see Field one invite you there again for future interviews. It's just more respectful to not handle such things without asking. I'm trying to be as graceful as I can saying this. Again thanks for the wonderful videos and Happy Independence Day :-)

Some of them were unreliable and for whatever reason people have zero mechanical skills to troubleshoot or even do basic maintenance. Other markers take neglect better than Bob Long markers do. But for those of us that service them regularly and are mechanically inclined they are by far the best and we know that.

I bet you don't own one, you dont need to set the pressures everytime you play, g6r doesnt use 55 either i use planet eclipse grease for all my bob longs. I set the pressure one time like a year ago and havent touched it since. Paint and bore match goes for any gun you shoot.... Dont spill the hype you hear from planet girls talkin shit on guns they know nothing about.

How many pods do you shoot in one game? I don’t even carry more than 5 myself. 8 pods on a 68 is pretty damn good and right on par with most of the other markers on the market. Luxe, CS3, 180R, all get around 1300 shots too.
