I´m with my drawings miles away from Martinas level but that´s a thing every artist, or at least one who wants one to be, knows and sometimes timely distance - look at it a week later - or another point of view changes everything. @TheMichaelStott3 жыл бұрын
@@can9033 think I'll take a theological approach. In Norse mythology and religion, Odin always worried that when Huginn and Muninn left to gather knowledge for him, that they might not return. They were his trusted allies in his pursuit of knowledge, even helping him with reconnaissance over battlefields so he could see what his enemies were up to. In this scene, it shows one flying away and the other in his ear almost saying a last goodbye before joining the other in flight leaving Odin without his trusted companions and the help and advantage they always gave to him. He is well and truly on his own for this one last battle against a force that was foretold to end him. Ragnarok is a story of endings and beginnings of an entirely new era.

I absolutely love this painting! It's wonderful. But at the same time, it is so strangely calm... Ragnarok is supposed to be a war, and here it is... peaceful with a sense of dread and defeat. There is no sign of hope anywhere. So intriguing! Keep up the good work, I love it!

Tanvi Chirania. If you really appreciate her work, then send her all the money you have!

@@redblade8160 Not all appreciation is expressed in the form of monetary value. The sooner people learn that, the happier society will be.

@@redblade8160 That's what I'm saying, you don't need material possessions to show appreciation. Use your words; use your actions - you can't buy or sell appreciation.

I recently got back into norse and well mythology in general and this inspires me beyond belief, there's other artists too and I just can't wait to dive into creating mythology based artworks; I'm currently in college and finish in a few weeks, really excited!!

Absolutely inspiring work! I love how you are so transparent with the thought process and struggles. Non-artists just do not understand that. They think we just wave our pencils/brushes/etc. and magically drop perfect little pictures on paper/canvas. Wonderful job!

You have an adorable, cheerful personality and are an incredible artist. I've been watching all of your videos. This large piece is very deep and dramatic. I am especially drawn to how you did the flames of the torch. I'm a big fan! Thank you for sharing your talent. Oh - and I love your hair. :-)

Dude I’ve always wondered how Norse people actually say words from Norse Mythos so hearing you saying those was really interesting

I'm not an arts student or an artist in general. I saw each iteration as "That looks perfect!" and then you kept adding more and more detail to it and it just got better. You've done what I thought was the impossible, and the end result looks spectacular. You are insanely talented!

Gorgeous piece, wouldn't expect anything less from you Martina. One of my favorite parts was the clock in the background. Gives a since of scale that I really enjoy.
