Like, the wolf Fenrir coming in a powerful and revengeful way just scares me so much! Norse mythology is just so incredibly metal and they really went "All out" for the apocalypse. The fact that Ragnarök hasn't been turned into a decent movie yet is disappointing but understandable as no modern studio could truly portray the scale of the fight that, in the mind of the Norse, would end the world.

but i know what she means: you do your thing - painting, drawing, sculpting, composing or what ever your creativity needs to be expressed in - and then it happens. Bamm! One wrong drawn line. one note, that doesn´t sound quite right or even just a goddamn word that doesn´t really hit the mark! And every try to fix dis: for naught or worse even more out of place! Everyone else: "hey, great work!" but everytime you see/read/hear it: "GAAAAH!" pure agony! like it´s poking right into your face! I´m with my drawings miles away from Martinas level but that´s a thing every artist, or at least one who wants one to be, knows and sometimes timely distance - look at it a week later - or another point of view changes everything. Heck, look at Bob Ross´"happy little accidents"! But it´s ggod to know even Martina has these Moments ; )

You should take ragnarok more philosophical as litterally real, i think 🤔
@TheMichaelStott
@TheMichaelStott 3 жыл бұрын
@@can9033 think I'll take a theological approach. In Norse mythology and religion, Odin always worried that when Huginn and Muninn left to gather knowledge for him, that they might not return. They were his trusted allies in his pursuit of knowledge, even helping him with reconnaissance over battlefields so he could see what his enemies were up to. In this scene, it shows one flying away and the other in his ear almost saying a last goodbye before joining the other in flight leaving Odin without his trusted companions and the help and advantage they always gave to him. He is well and truly on his own for this one last battle against a force that was foretold to end him. Ragnarok is a story of endings and beginnings of an entirely new era.

I recently stumbled upon your channel. I started with your mural videos and have now found this one. Anyway I just wanted to say the amount of depth you show in your paintings is SO incredible. And you’re so freaking good at making things glow!! Like I’ve learned so much just from watching your videos. Lastly, the fact that you sit down through out the video and just state your thoughts on the painting, like sections you don’t like or how you mentally prepare yourself for what you’re about to paint (ie the clouds) is SO relatable. Seriously, this is my new favorite channel. Thank you for these videos!!

For that "area" that didn't look right, I just thought the wolf tail was too long. Where it hits the low clouds is where I think the tip of the tail should be at. At first I also thought too bushy, but the more I looked I think that is right, just a tad too long. Overall I think this is an amazing painting. Very ambitious and well done. Bob Ross would be so happy!
