OOHH I just made this but I replaced the leaves with cabbage instead. It was so amazing!! I followed the recipe and it was really easy. Beginners could totally try this. Also, side note, those who do not have the materials for the dipping sauce do not need to bother with it because the meat itself is already flavoured.

Maangchi, thank you so much for making this video! I first ate vegetable pancakes stuffed with meat in a Korean restaurant back home in Singapore and fell in love with it. I usually prefer seafood pancakes but the way this restaurant did it was so much nicer than the seafood pancakes they had. When I moved to the US, I missed the dish so much, and I couldn't find a Korean restaurant that made the vegetable pancakes this way. Now I get to make it and stuff my face with it :D

I too have wild perilla! I transplanted some because I loved the anise scent. I have used it for a Basil substitute before I finally researched it and found out what it was. Such a gloriously beautiful plant! I am going to kimchi some this next weekend.

Perilla plant seeds are sold on Amazon. I used extra sesame oil and brown sugar and >the was so nice and sweet. I can't wait to grow my own. This is my favorite recipe. Thank you so much. Oh I used some tofu. It worked.

My mom grew tons of 깻잎 in her garden but I could never make myself like it. She would do one thing with them I liked though. The seeds pods that grow from the top, she would cut off and make 튀김 with it! It's very stringy, a little hard to eat, but for some reason it was so good! The seed pods have a similar taste, to the leaves but a little milder.

There are so many perilla leafs in Vietnam. They're widely grown everywhere for making spices and can also be eaten raw.

This looks sooo delicious! I must try it! I have some interesting things growing in my yard, in a rural area. I love to find out more about them. Perilla turns out to be one of them! They aren't fully purple, and very pretty. I have let them go to seed and let them grow now to their heart's content every year! I am going to save some seeds for baking bread this fall.
