Panasonic 9mm New Life For m4/3

The Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens will always be the king of cheap, tiny, lightweight, amazing lenses for m4/3. For me anyway. That lens never disappoints.

I also have this 9 mm lens paired with the OMD MK3. It is clearly also my favorite very wide angle lens (together with the olympus 8-25) and perfect for vloging due to its weight. A use it a lot for aerial photography due to its unmatchable compromise quality-weight. Always in my bag for sure.

A great lens also for shooting in museums and other interiors! One lens I always carry for sure.

Looks nice without the fisheye edge distortion of the 7-14. I wish it had image stabilization although the inbody stabilization seems to be doing well.

I have that lens just a year now it’s great for urban photography particularly in lower light. Could be good for b roll too or as a bts setup

Santa left a Leica 9mm for me this Christmas 🙂 It looks and feels great on my GX9. It is what I see as a 'true' m43 lens because it is small and light yet high quality and not a crazy high price. Now if Panasonic would just give us a GX9 II! 😉

Happy New Year Peter. I always like seeing a new Peter Gregg video pop up on my computer and have been a subscriber for a long time. There are many reasons I watch his videos, even about gear I do not, or probably never will, own, and that is because of his style. Peter gives us his genuine, personal views and has obviously examined and tested the equipment himself. He brings technical knowledge and humour to our screens. He praises the good points, castigates the bad and makes suggestions. He tests things such as the recent focus issues he had with a camera. Recently I have noticed far too many other KZbin presenters are resorting to AI in one form or another. This week I saw several where the 'presenter' never appeared on screen and the voice-over comments were obviously being read by a piece of software: far too obvious. Also, rather than being a real review, or critique, they were simply reading a cut & paste from the manufacturer's advertising material. Absolutely awful videos, of no use to man nor beast, and clearly done simply for clicks, likes and money. Thank the Gods for Peter and others like him.
