A lot of the younger generation only saw his older years and think Dirk is a stretch-4 shooting big. This guy is so much more, a flat out SCORER. His repertoire is amazing and constantly evolved over the years. Love the vid.

The people that think Dirk wasn't good on defense are the ones that only watch ESPN highlights. There have only been a handful of true 7 footers that were bad on defense. Being 7ft you dont have to try to be good on defense your presence alone at that height will change the way people shoot around you. And that's all you really need to do.

Once again, you did not disappoint! This might be the greatest Dirk tribute video I've ever seen. The whole world needs to watch these 21 glorious minutes! I really love how you included many of his lesser-seen highlights, defensive highlights, and all the players/coaches speaking about his excellence. I tell you, most ppl don't even know just how great this man was. They need to watch this to truly understand. And your description sums up perfectly how every fan feels about Dirk! Thank you for creating this masterpiece! It was a great way to celebrate his birthday!

Huge Dirk fan, this is by far the best video I seen on him. Shows everything that no one really knows about. He is the most unappreciated superstar in NBA history. I laugh when people put KG or Malone or anyone other than Timmy at the PF position ahead of Dirk. He is the 2nd best Pf behind Tim. Underrated defender, people just look at the numbers and say he wasn’t good on that end. Carried those Dallas teams in a tough western conference every year to success. Man I could say so much more. Just unappreciated. There’s no KD without Dirk.. remember that!
@PandaHank414 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I totally agree with everything you said! 😊
@bigred99913 жыл бұрын
I think Dirk was just as good as Timmy but because he played with the Mavs and didn't have a hall of fame coach like Popovich and didn't have teammates like Parker, Bowen, and Ginobili his entire career his resume doesnt look the same. I give Timmy the nod because of his resume but Dirk is right there behind him in my opinion.

No disrespect but the so called PFs of today have nothing against Dirk..3s, signature one legged fadeaways, lefty layups, free throw shooting and post up. He had it all, he was a once in a generation player who did it via hardwork. He always came ready to play working hard in the summer with his coach..Most NBA players of today are all about money and chasing rings..Dirk, Duncan , the late Kobe and Jordan will probably be the last of their kind...Take care Dirk!

Great video. Just found your channel, huge Mavs fan. I think the thing most people forget about Dirk was in his first 10 years he was crossing people over and dunking on people all the time. He had really good athleticism at his size. You would think he was a SG if you couldn’t notice his height. He played with 3 all stars his entire career (Nash 2x, Kidd once as sentimental pick)...in 20 years, yikes. If he had a legitimate star paired up with him for 6-8 years, I can confidently say he would of went to 5 finals minimally. Dallas did him dirty for so many years not being able to get elite talent around him. The 2011 run was one of the most impressive of all time considering he went through Kobe coming off back to backs, OKC with 3 Hall of Famers (albeit young at the time), and then one of the great super teams of all time in Miami. And they did it with washed up stars if Kidd, Marion, Peja. And Butler, who was supposed to be their 2nd best player got hurt for the year. You won’t see a run like that like for another 20 years maybe, if ever.

His defense wasn't actually that "bad" until his last few years in the league. He was actually a good team defender in his prime and an above average defender overall.
