Paneer Butter Masala

We love authentic north indian food specially, punjabi foods. We go to restaurant once a week to eat punjabi dishes. First time, we thought its impossible to make same taste at home. But after watching the video with guide by guide, we tried at home. And guess what!!! we got that. We loved the recipe, now we cook once a week. Thank you so much. Great recipes.

1 kg medium sized tomatoes 3 medium onions Heat 1 tbsp oil, add tomatoes, onions and half cup cashew nuts. Grind mix into a fine paste. Heat 4 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil, add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Add 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder. Strain the ground paste. Add salt, cover and cook. Add 1/2 tsp elaichi powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala powder & 1 tbsp honey. Rub 1 tbsp dry Fenugreek leaves. Mix well and add cottage cheese (400g). Add 1/2 cup cream and mix well.

Hello, I used frozen paneer which I put in salted hot water for 30 min before adding to the gravy and it remained very soft.

I just loved the way you have presented the recipe.. explaining the reason for adding each spice..I just learnt a lot from this video.. Its so much better than just reading a recipe :) .. Hi Sir, I tried this recipe today and I really want to thank you. It came out perfect. My parents loved it. One thing is that I didn't have cream with me, Instead had Coconut milk powder so I added some to the end and still it tasted fine( it was an experiment but I just wanted to let u know about it too :D) Once again ,, thank you :)

Well. I also tend to add a cinamon stick into the gravy as i learnt from a curry chef located in UK. It's shocking how they often use coloring that are not "cochineal". I found that making the spices into a paste with small quantity of water prevent the spices from burning when added to the pan.
