Thank you for this! It's very difficult to find cases that aren't teenagers! Im 50 and I'm having a 2 day surgery in a few weeks. The first day they're going in thru my side to open up & fuse my L4-L5 & L5-S1 and the following day to do the rod & screws from my pelvis to T4. Your video helped me tremendously! Thank you 🙏🏼😊

I love this story. I too have lumber scoliosis but nobody wants to help me. I’m 70 years old and have lived with this for 20+ years. I’m in Canada and although we have healthcare, we don’t have the same options as elsewhere. I guess I’m just going to have to live with it. I’m happy that this was a great outcome.

Will they do surgery on adult scoliosis where the curve is caused by 2 hemivertebrae? S shaped curve all in the lumbar region 52 degrees at top of S about L1 or L2 and about 36 at bottom of S shape near L5 and S1.

Why did my Dr. tell me surgery would not help me .He said he could go in and put rods screws but it would not help me .He said it would not straighten my back or take away my pain . But if I got to where I could not walk come back and he could help me with that .??? I saw a woman out side of many Drs.office .She said she had surgery and was worse now than before the surgery ..?????
@ttlola55152 жыл бұрын
I have heard that but only in the lower back surgery. I heard upper back surgery is much better than lower

I wonder how she never noticed it before ? It seems like you could notice if your spine was curved or someone else would have seen it when they were at the pool or something.

@@susannaden2736 thank you. yesterday they changed my operation in a smaller fusion of to get the stenosis fixed, later they will see if i can cope. i am pretty scared that after fusion 2/3 of the spine will leave me with little movement
@andrewdouma47723 жыл бұрын
Most spinal fusions work initially. But20+ years afterward you’ll be disabled. Please consider this fact before agreeing I am 52 years old. Spine fused at 15. So I know of what I speak. There are alternatives to surgery
@jenniferbaez17252 жыл бұрын
Please share the alternatives. I’m almost 40 years old, with severe scoliosis, and feeling numbness in my leg. I’ve seen a chiropractor, I’ve tried the Schroth Method, yoga, what else can I do?
@ttlola55152 жыл бұрын
What are other alternatives. I know physical therapy,but it doesn't totally take the pain away
@a.g.4238 Жыл бұрын
Why did you become disabled?
@K9Booper9 ай бұрын
@jenniferbaez1725 For nerve pain/numbness, the only thing I've discovered that helps is CBD w/THC. The one I used was a 20:1 mix (20 parts CBD, 1 THC). Not all CBD is the same, so you must do your due diligence and find a legitimate brand. I'd suggest a reputable dispensary.

Saying ‘no pain’ after surgery is not realistic. No matter what surgery you have, on any area of your body, you will have some surgical pain. It makes this testimony suspect to me. Truth is best. If not, then everything said is suspect.

your lucky 1 out of 3 will be parolised
@stephenhollstein613510 ай бұрын
The spinal cord ends higher in the spine. Lumbar surgery even if mistakes are made will not cause paralysis.
