When I was a teenager in the 90's it was a heavy metal pilgrimage for us hillbilly kids in the mountains to load as many of us in a car as possible and head 3 hours south to the City to see Pantera. Outstanding. I was 6 foot 2 and maybe 190. Not a tough dude. That crowd was like nothing I ever saw, a mass of swirling fists and slamming bodies, I got the hell kicked out of me. But, loved every minute of it. One of the guys in the car with us had never even been out of our State before, he was stuck to the window on the way to the show going through his own process of culture shock. Good cover. Bet that was " better than any medicine under the sun!"

I miss those days. We would meet at an area with a pay phone and user 800 collect to notify our friends 😂. “You have a collect call from “we’re here” do you wish to accept these charges? 😂 I remember we would take road trips and we all had to bring a few CD’s and use a Walkman with a tape adapter. Forgot it one day had to stop off at RADIOSHACK for another. Those days you really made do with what you could get. This comment made me think of the good ol simple days.

Great cover. Pantera is nearly uncoverable. Dimebag sets an impossibly high bar. He went to his grave a one and only. But then pops up Kayla Kent, a sweet, mild mannered girl next door, who effortlessly rips into Dimebag solos. This from a Guitar World article: "In spite of his ultra-nuanced playing style, Dimebag Darrell still - nearly 18 years after his tragic death - continues to inspire guitarists to try to recreate his sound. And few do quite as impressive a job as Kayla Kent, a KZbinr who has dedicated her entire channel to creating frighteningly accurate Pantera covers."

Sick!! Great job, all of you guys! You sound like my 27 year old son's band. I play guitar on a song with them every now and then for fun, but I absolutely do NO vocals when they do Pantera or Tool type stuff. Well done, Brad! That's an endurance check, for sure. If I may, there are 2 videos by a vocal coach named Melissa Cross called "the Zen of Screaming" that you can find here on YT. They were a revelation to me about many of the vocal techniques that Phil Anselmo made his bread and butter from. Way easier ways to get that growl, or go even heavier, without a lot of the strain.

Brad this so reminded me of band rehearsals in my first flat aged 22 or 23 ( just left the army ) the flat had this big room at the back because it was a old victorian house. We'll after about 6 months I had a massive falling out with the lad who lived in the flat above ( he would come and watch us rehearse) so one evening during rehearsal we got raided by the police who took all our gear saying it was stolen bla bla bla! Then I got evicted lol oh I wish I could go back to then before the world got all fuxxed up! Good job brother and the vocals were on point!

@The Guitologist they did mate as we couldn't prove we had 'bought ' our stuff as skint young lads we bought everything second hand from local newspaper classifieds! If I remember correctly they took a drum kit and my fender head and 4x12 Marshall and a guitar but our lead guitarist got that back. Then because we couldn't supply receipts they held onto it for 6 months then everything goes to a police auction! Wankers! It was a good Job we had a lockup that we stored our PA and gigging stuff or all that would have gone also and it would have been the end of us ( Sounds of the suburbs)
