As an apartment dweller living in NYC....I always used the Rinseless Wash method used in this video. 1.Pre-treat w IK sprayer 2. Wash with Legacy sponge in about 2 or 3 gallons of water. 3. Use left over water as my wheel bucket to clean wheels 4. Use drying aid & towel to dry car and I'm done.

It's great seeing you two blokes together again. I haven't done a "traditional" wash for over a year now, since "discovering" the rinseless wash method. It is the quickest and most efficient way of washing a car if your time is at a premium. And all my wash mitts have all been made redundant as I now only use sponges*. They work very well. And after using, they just need rinsing in clean water and air dried on top of a grit guard in dry bucket. And all you have to wash afterwards is your drying towel. Simple! * Ultra Black sponge for the top of the car and the windows; Big Gold sponge for the boot, bonnet and top half of the sides; the Legacy sponge for the lower half of the car. And for the sills and underbody: the DIY green flag-tipped wheel and body brush. The V2 is now on my get to list.

No its not, it has it’s place where access to water is limited. But if you want to talk efficiency try a real touchless (chem-x) and combine that with (Adams Rinse aid or Chem-X Snake oil) I can get a 3 row SUV clean and dried it less than 15min, thats including all the prep work to start washing. Clean 10+ vehicles on a Saturday and you’ll find out how much easier it is doing it this way.

Been using rinseless wash in my detailing business for the past year and have been so much happier than when i used soap in the beginning. With Arizona heat in the summer it was all to easy to get soap to bake on the surface using a foam cannon and then have to spend a ton of time trying to get those spots out. Spending tons of money on DI water systems was a expensive solution for awhile but after going to rinseless i never have water spot issues. Gave my expensive carpro reset soap to my neighbor and never looked back. Cant wait to try this V2 formula.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 5 ай бұрын
Yeah rinseless washes typically encapsulate minerals in the water, so it helps prevent water spotting during the cleaning process.

So funny that I saw this video today. I was pressed for time and needed to wash the Blackwing before taking my wife out on the town, so I did a quick wash using V1 DiyDetail rinseless. Full disclosure, I love a thick sudsy foam cannon wash, and have resisted rinseless, but Yvan and Nick's rinseless is SO FREAKIN good, I find myself using it more and more. Nice to see Yvan as a guest again. I’ve adapted a hybrid version of rinse less washing. My vehicles are mainly on gravel roads and I prefoam with my foam cannon then rinse. I spray on the rinse less with my keg sprayer then end with a rinse less contact wash. It saves me so much time and the DIY rinse less wash is an amazing cleaner. Once my original version is used up I’ll definitely be restocking on V2.

I personally don't use rinseless washes as a substitute to my normal wash process, I like that the water pressure can help to get those areas that are more difficult to reach especially around the wheels and tires, but I have found great uses for a rinseless wash that have changed how I wash. Instead of using an APC or bug remover, I found this works well as a pretreatment especially on a ceramic coated car. I also love to use it as an interior cleaner because of how often I clean my car it doesn't need heavy degreasers or APCs to get good results. I've been using absolute from P&s and love it, but I would love to give diy detail a try. Looks great!

Yeah there are limits to what a rinseless wash can do on its own. A pre-rinse is required if the car is super dirty. Or you can even use a good snow foam as a pre-wash. Don't forget, a rinseless wash doesn't mean you never rinse. It just means no rinsing is needed at the end of the process.

There are always improvements that are possible with any product, as the technology evolves. Case in point: DIY Rinseless Wash V1 was at the top of the pack for almost 2 years and nobody thought it could be improved. Well here we are with V2 now, with more slickness and a bit more cleaning power. An updated polymer package as new technologies get created all the time. So will there be even better rinseless washes in the future? Absolutely. It's inevitable. But DIY Detail will also continue R&D and you can expect updates as time goes by. Also, this is a rinseless wash that doesn't leave any protection behind. So it depends what you want. Some prefer that a bit of polymers are left behind for a bit of protection and added slickness to the touch (Labocosmetica Idrosave among others). So what is great for one person might not be for another person.

Actually pretty impressive results for just using rinseless... I have frequent bug splats from riverside driving and it's a pain to get rid of them. I do a hybrid method mixing ivan's rinseless and pan's wash method. I'll do pre-treat w bug remover, alkaline foam spray, rinse, wash tires, rinseless spray over the car, sponge contact wash, iron remover/ agitate, rinse, rinseless spray and dry for a really soiled car. If it's a routine wash, I'll just do the rinseless method like the video showed. There's a time and place for both methods and even a mixed method works wonders. I'm so happy your channel exists. I've been washing my matte grey amg (now my dad's daily) and new red miata (my new daily) from what I've learned here. Rinseless though is a godsend for the midwest winters.. Good video!

@PanTheOrganizer

Haha yeah I won't get into comparing my brand vs other brands like that. But what I can say about mine is that it's more polymer heavy than surfactant heavy, so mine leaves a nice silky smooth finish once you're done, very satisfying to the touch. Nothing that cures or lasts long, so nothing durable, just a nice finish. And super slick on use and when you towel dry. Both rinseless washes are top tier so you can't go wrong.

I’m looking fwd to trying V2 from the video . Pan I’d like to see a video with a deep dive into the rinse less, I’m sure you have in the past but with this one, P&s absolute and armor hero, and McKees, these are the 3 I use most depending on what I’m cleaning and if I want anything left behind, But I’d like to see the above ones and V2 and any others you see fit and break down these are polymer these are surfactant , these are both etc , maybe I’ll over analyzing this but i think it would be interesting Thanks for all the content

I pretty much already covered all of this. But the current top two rinseless washes that don't leave anything behind are Armour Detail Supply Hero, and DIY Detail Rinseless Wash V2. They are slick on use, and provide excellent cleaning power. And with a simple panel prep spray, you'd remove any residue left if you were to apply a coating, without worrying about any protection left behind by the rinseless wash (like Labocosmetica Idrosave or Gyeon EcoWash, which both add protection, some people love that).

The DIY Detail Rinseless Wash V2 and Detail Co Nemesis are two surfactant heavy rinseless washes. They leave nothing behind. My CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Rinse-Less wash and Armour Detail Supply Hero are more polymer heavy, with surfactants in them too. But even mine and ADS aren't meant to leave anything long lasting behind. Just a slick to the touch feel after the process, but nothing that cures on the surface. I'm a big fan of Yvan and DIY Detail. Been watching his videos since he was doing demo videos for ONR. The problem I have with DIY Detail is the shipping cost. It really drives the product prices up. I'd love to try their Rinseless wash, but I can get a 32 ounce bottle of ONR for under $19 with same day shipping from Amazon, $21 for a 32 ouch bottle of P&S Absolute or $25 for a 32 ounce bottle of McKees. It will cost me $21 for a 16 ounce bottle of DIY Detail rinseless on Amazon or $26 if I order direct from DIY Detail. If the price was on par or even close to the price of McKees, ONR or P&S it would be a no brainer. I'm not paying double. They really need to fix their shipping model. Im not hating on Yvan or the company, just pointing out a flaw in their business model.

@squilky
@squilky 5 ай бұрын
@@diydetailofficial Maybe I am not understanding the complexity and I'm oversimplifying things. No doubt shipping is a real cost. Looking at the products I mentioned above, Amazon breaks down the price per ounce, along with how many products have sold in the past month. The competitors are in the $.60-.$.80 range per ounce. DIY Detail rinseless is $1.31 an ounce. ONR (the lowest cost per ounce) has sold over 3,000 bottles in the last month, DIY Detail has sold 10% of that at around 300 bottles. Maybe for a person who has a classic car the extra cost may be justified. For a weekend warrior like myself, who just likes to keep my car and my family members cars clean, price is a big consideration. Again not trying to bash anyone here. I truly enjoy Yvan and Pan's videos and have learned a lot watching them. I hope my comments come across as constructive, and help you understand how consumers think.

@@jefferrrson1x Yes I wish them luck. Yvan is very smart and seems to know the chemistry behind the products.
