Jeff S. Well the 10% product makes the 90% technique very easy. Very little effort is required to get reasonably good results. I used the foam, bathe+ and the wetcoat, and on a 14 year old paint job, it made it hydrophobic, and very glossy. Unfortunately Australia fucked it for everyone in New Zealand by voting against a direct deal between Gyeon and NZ, so the only NZ Gyeon distributor doesn't have it anymore, but have gone to Fireball. Cheaper and apparently the same as Gyeon

Depending on how bad the spots are, a spray-on water spot remover might not be enough. You try it, and if it’s not enough, you move on to machine polishing. Always start with the less aggressive method first.

Hi Pan, as always, I love the channel and your content. I realise this is an old film but I have had recent experience with gyeon can coat and would appreciate your advice. I had my car detailed last week and it had decontamination clean including clay bar and 1 stage paint correction. It was then coated with gyeon can coat. This was outside and unfortunately it started to rain not long after. I know the guy always uses gyeon can coat and he assured me that this would not be an issue but he never added the cure coat. 2 days later there were marks in the paint so I tried to hose them off ( I did not wash the car) and the next day the car was covered in water spots. 3 days later he came back and washed the car and to be honest, the marks have almost gone. But when you catch it in the sun you can still see marks. He is coming back tomorrow, 8 days later to wash the car again and to use gyeon water spot remover. Sorry for such a long message but my question is this. Will the can coat be compromised in any way and what should be done? If the can coat is not compromised, should I apply the cure coat myself after a maintenance wash. Many thanks in advance. Mark

I’m going to start detail cars in the weekends, learnt so much from you DetailingKING Thanks Pan, you’re the man!! Greetings from Genk, Belgium🇧🇪🇹🇷

WetCoat is a bit different, as it needs to be applied on a wet surface and rinsed off with your pressure washer or garden hose. You don't wipe it off. Spray on, rinse off. Then you dry your car with a blower or microfiber towel. Don't mix ceramic based products with waxes. I explain the differences between waxes, sealants and coatings here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apbNl4N-ltNmoZY How did you discover my channel by the way? Welcome to my channel. Pan should I bin my microfibre after applying Gyeon Can Coat ? Not sure because it think it a sealant not a Ceramic Coating. I have a can of cancoat just haven't used it yet. Thanks

Hey pan, I was wondering how aggressive the water spot remover is. Will it remove hard water from a sprinkler or when is it most effective?
@MarlboroOtoko7 жыл бұрын
Another great review. Thanks. I'd like to know what is the reason that no one seems to apply this to the windshield and other glass windows?
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
What product are you talking about?
@MarlboroOtoko7 жыл бұрын
Ceramic/nano particle coatings like Gyeon MOHS Q2. No one (not just you) applies this to the glass. I understand that one possibility it that you can't do 2 coats if you also do the glass, but as a hydroscopic coating, your windows should be clean.
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
Mohs is not meant to be applied on glass and Gyeon doesn’t even talk about glass in Mohs instructions. There are glass specific coatings and sealants available on the market.

Hi Pan, if I use geon wet coat would i need to apply geon cure as a top up layer of protection afterwards and on my maintenance washes until I apply wet coat again. Thanks
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
No
@nicholasrutterford7974 жыл бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for that would that also apply to bathe plus. So geon cure is only for the top end ceramic coatings
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
Not really. It’s just that there are different forms of silica spray sealants but they all have the same role. Some are spray and rinse (Wet Coat), some are sprayed and applied with a towel (Cure), some are shampoos with built-in protection (Bathe+) etc. Wet Coat and Cure can both be either used as stand alone paint protectants or as toppers over existing coatings. You pick one or the other, not both. I hope this helps you understand better.

@@PanTheOrganizer that was an excellent reply and has really helped me out I just want something quick and easy to use in the winter time as I have to work outside. So am I correct in saying I can apply these over sealant or wax as I don't have a ceramic coating and once applied I just use Geon foam then geon bathe to maintain the coating.
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
No. Do not mix Gyeon products with waxes or sealants PERIOD. Gyeon and CarPro are ceramic coating brands so their products are made for that. If you have a regular wax or sealant, just use regular shampoos (like Adam’s Car Shampoo or Meguiar’s Gold Class).

It takes 2 years for the coating to disappear. You just restart the steps like in my ceramic coating tutorial.

Have you ever tried Wet Coat as a low effort wheel sealant? I wonder whether the heat from the brakes and wheel may cause the diluted sealant to fix dirt to the wheel.
@PanTheOrganizer7 жыл бұрын
Yes I use Wet Coat or CarPro HydrO2 as a quick wheel sealant and it holds up for 2-3 weeks, beading water and making wheel cleaning effortless.

You talking about the Clay lube. How do you feel about using a foam cannon+car shampoo as a lubricant? Saw Chicago Auto Pros did this in a video. Really perked my interest.
@PanTheOrganizer6 жыл бұрын
Many use their own DIY clay lubes. I'm ok with that. I just prefer dedicated clay lubricants as I feel the paint is slicker and I can spray as much as I want in the area I'm working on.

Hi Pan. Tried Gyeon for the first time at the weekend. Used bathe essence and the paintwork looked very flat when rinsing, i had a trial bottle of wetcoat which i put on to bring up the beading etc then topped off with the Gyeon quick detailer. Does the detailer work this way or would that have stripped alot of the wetcoat off ?
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
Once your base layer of WetCoat is applied, you can absolutely use the Gyeon Quick Detailer or Gyeon Ceramic Detailer on top, after each maintenance wash. They have chemical synergy. No worries.

good day pan....something that's never been covered is ....if using a pressure washer with a heat setting if that deteriorates the coatings durability
@PanTheOrganizer6 жыл бұрын
I don't use hot water to wash cars so it would be impossible for me to answer based on experience. But I haven't heard of hot water damaging coatings. They resist chemicals from pH 2 or 3 all the way up to pH 13 typically, so I don't see how simple hot water would damage them.
@GTR_JAMES4 жыл бұрын
Hi, can you use Cure over normal wax rather than over ceramic? Or can you recommend anything I can apply on top of wax for extra gloss / hydrophobic effect? I enjoy polishing and waxing my car so long lasting ceramic coatings don't appeal to me. Thank you.
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
No. Don't combine traditional waxes with silica based sealants like Gyeon Cure. To add the best gloss and slickness on top of wax, what I love most is P&S Bead Maker. Watch my awesome review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGjYlGd3ocalprc
